31. Actually it is unbelievable:)
ziv   (07.17.10)
I have read this post twice and I still can't believe it. We finally letting them have the Gaza strip, all open, no blockade open borders to any Arab country and they refuse?!:) Gush, how many days have they been debating what a reply to give Israel? This one should be published all over the world ... did anyone say occupation? any left wing activists in here?? Hello?
32. Destroy then Seal, Using Popeyes
Dav Lev ,   Burbank. CAUsA   (07.17.10)
Yeah and Ill sell you the Williamsburg Bridge from Manhattan to Brooklyns Orthodox community for nothing. Look, sooner or later Israel will have to go back in, using 1,000 Merkavas and Abrams tanks, but after the area has been peppere with artillery, etc. Daisy Cutters and bunkier busters could be used against hard targets. I would secure the beaches..ports, etc.using Gavati and Golani Brigades. Search and destroy Hamas..using clusters (Israelimade), phosphorous bombs, pressure granades, the works. Detain anyone trying to aid using the IDF and navy. Drones can pin point individual targets..and Popeyes will make them eat spinach. The sooner the better. Hamas, you are history. Millions of Jews/Christians are really getting tired of Islamists. 1m of US are ready to help Israel.
33. to #17 Trickery
Sol ,   Toronto, Canada   (07.16.10)
Well mark actually the Gazans are stupid, they have decided to put their lives in the hands of Hamas and Iran. Israel should completely close its border with Gaza and discontinue the supply of any energy, water, fuel etc. Not Israel's problem - let Egypt, Turkey, Europe, the UN deal with their needs. If they launch any attacks on Israel then they should be made to pay dearly - nothing held back. treat them like an independent enemy state to be held completely accountable. it is that part you have trouble with - holding them accountable.
34. Just proves the Lieberman plan is the right one
Carrie ,   Los Angeles, CA   (07.17.10)
if Hamas is against the plan then that means it is good for Israel. Lieberman is a man with new ideas and GOOD ONES! Just do it.
35. 16 Nothing belongs to Israel beyond the recognized borders
lydia ,   Brisbane   (07.17.10)
Despite it unilaterally declared borders,Israel Plan Dalet calls for wars to steal Palestinian land. Hamas has a legitimate right to reclaim by war land Israel stole by war. Israel must not be allowed to profit from the pain and suffering they inflict on the Palestinians ie collecting $bil in US taxpayers, withholding $bil in Palestinian tax dollars. Bombing the Palestinian Airport and blockading the Port yet collecting $bil from the Int. Community to transport goods destined for Gaza. End the ILLEGAL occupation, the ILLEGAL siege, and the ILLEGAL blockade!
36. NO independence, freedom or rest for jew killers
bernard ross ,   st anns bay jamaica   (07.17.10)
suffering and death should be the only road for jew killers
37. Not to discourage your quest, Doug #10,
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (07.17.10)
to discover the truth but yes, Hamas has fired rockets and mortars into Israel even after the end of Operation Cast lead. Sderot has been hit again and a Thai guest worker was killed (murdered) several months ago by one of those Hamas rockets landing in a kibbutz in the south. If you keep abreast of Ynet news articles you will discover that Hamas & Associates have never stopped although their attack frequency has decreased.
38. 24 Michael Redbourn - I Can Read
Mark of Lewiston ,   Lewiston USA   (07.17.10)
I can and have read many Israeli proposals in the past. If it isn't said, it isn't meant to be. Like Oslo, it contains vague promises for some indefinite future that magically will never materialize. Kinda like the imaginary easing of the siege that has failed to happen yet.
39. This legitimises Hamas' tactics!
Martin ,   Johannesburg, sa   (07.17.10)
This decision will send a message to the West Bank that Hamas' methods work. It might legitimise similar terrorist strategies in the West Bank. You may as well start evacuating jews from the West Bank and putting up tents for them next to the residents of Gush Katif.
40. 33 Sol - Bush Coup
Mark of Lewiston ,   Lewiston USA   (07.17.10)
You should read more US press. Putting Hamas in control and driving them into Iran's arms was the only foreign policy success of the Bush Administration. The only one. It was carefully orchestrated. And Mohammed Dahlan conveniently got sick on the day it happened. So he wasn't in Gaza when the coup-countercoup was launched. There were Congressional hearings just beforehand where the plan was fully laid out. You can look it up on C-SPAN.
41. Hamas's goal, as is Fatah's, is the annihilation of Israel,
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (07.17.10)
the wiping of Israel off the face of earth. Any creative idea, be it good or bad, that is intended to ensure an accommodation of peaceful CO-EXISTENCE between the Muslim-Arab world and the nation-state of the Jewish people is going to be dismissed by Hamas (and Fatah!). This is why we, Jews, insist that there must be an acceptance of Israel's RIGHT to be, to exist as the nation-state of the Jewish people, and that any peace treaty will be considered the "end of the conflict". The Arabs, Hamas, Fatah and the rest, oppose to both. Don't you wonder, why...??
42. To: No. 35
Sarah B   (07.17.10)
Read it and weep, Lydia. Here is a link that will put paid to your claims that Israel's presence in Judea and Samaria, and the settlements, are illegal. http://www.globalpolitician.com/24388-israel-jerusalem Although you would benefit from reading the treatise in its entirety, feel free to skip down to the section titled "Law on Israel's Takeover of 1967 Lands." Read both subparagraph 1 and 2 -- the first examines the issue under Security Council Resolution 242 (and confirms that SCR 242 it is neither binding nor enforceable, as it was issued under Chapter Six of the United Nations Charter, and not Chapter Seven). The second section discusses Acquisition of Non-Sovereign Land in a Defensive War and concludes that international law does not preclude Israel from retaining AND settling Judea and Samaria and, in fact, fully supports Israel’s right to do precisely that. As to the siege -- it is fully legal and internationally recognized. That said -- how would you characterize what your English criminal forebears did to the aborigines? Do tell us, please.
43. Do it
Ruby ,   JHB SA   (07.17.10)
The most brilliant plan. Not sure why Israel needs to discuss this with Hamas. Do it. Please!!!!! Also - don't forget Gilad Shalit.
44. Lieberman's plan
Pierre Lebon ,   Bonnes, France   (07.17.10)
Don't expect anything from Catherine Ashton, the laughing stock of de European family. Europe is a monster without theeth, not recognized by most of its own citizen. I wish Israël all the best in these difficult times. Shalom!!

Abraham was born / came from Ur, Babylonia to Cannan? end of story, I rest my case.
47. Hamas choose to kill Palestine
JO   (07.17.10)
to divide it's people and to wage war on it's fellow opposition. They destroyed Palestine. As long as they are what they are now they are an enemy entity. They share in no solution but their own fate.
48. Liberman Plan on Gaza
MedAli ,   Gaza   (07.17.10)
In case Israel will not accept a Palestinian State in Gaza and the West Bank , this will lead either to one state ( not Jewish) or a Muslim state in the long run . LIBERMAN & ISRAELIS SHOULD LEARN FROM THE HISTORY before it is too late !!!
49. Make Israel accept the same terms on inspection
Fed Up ,   USA   (07.17.10)
It is time for the world to demand the same limits on Israeli sovereignty.
50. #48 We will displace more Arabs if needed
Ze'ev ,   Lod   (07.17.10)
