This article is replete with errors . Yeshiva University is not a Haredi University . I went to a " Modern Orthodox " synagogue , the retired Rabbi and present Rabbi were both graduates of Yeshiva University with the retired Rabbi having a physics degree and the present Rabbi has a Masters in Business. Most of the Synagogue members were Yeshiva graduates , and doctors,lawyers , engineers , accountants. If you look at famous Yeshivas you'll see that many are engaged in full time Tora studies and part time studies in accounting science , computers. The only Haredim who attend universities are the Lubabitch , most Haredim don't graduate high school , although they know English and computers , they have high poverty rates but are subsidised by wealthy Haredi businessman. When the Arab & Haredi populations reach a critical population level Israel will eighther stop subsidizing populations that don''t contribute economically & militarily or go broke.

My merit ? i gave a 15 year full time Jewish school to my daughters ABROAD . Two reasons : a ] to know something about Judaism b ] to avoid as much as possible to have non Jewish sons in law . I'm a Jewish atheist , But JEWISH from head to toe . This year i was one time at a synagogue , Bar Mitzwa of one grandson . Last year twice , first for the הנחת תפילין of my three grandsons , then , the Shabbat for their Alyah Latora . I was of course also , as the Sabah , honored with an Alya .
