As expected, you have attempted an end run around the truth. Israel is a modern Western democracy. You cannot compare Israel to Iraq, Liberia or Serbia. Did you know that the Israeli Air Force leafleted Gaza hours in advance of an impending bombardment? NATO certainly did not do that in the Balkans, and the Coalition forces in Iraq certainly do not do that. Nor does the United States Air Force before conducting bombing runs in Afghanistan, Iraq and Waziristan. That's why the civilian death tolls in the Balkans, Afghanistan and Iraq have been so dreadfully high. Actually, come to think of it, I don't believe the Allies alerted German civilians that their areas were about to come under carpet bombardment. I know for a fact that the United States did not leaflet Tokyo before dropping all those incendiary bombs that killed all those innocent civilians. Needless to say, the civilians in Hiroshima and Nagasaki received no prior warning. The civilians in Gaza received PLENTY of advance notice. Loudhailers warned them to leave the area. It is not the fault of Israel that Hamas prevented the civilians from leaving. Pretty unscrupulous of Hamas, wouldn't you agree? And what the United States army did in My Lai would do the Waffen SS proud. Not to mention Abu Ghraib. The fact of the matter is there is not a single military in the world that can match Israel with respect to due diligence and extreme effort to avoid collateral damage. Look at the civilian death toll that the United States has racked up in Afghanistan and Iraq and Waziristan before you get all preachy on us, please. Fair?
