1. NO need for Iron Dome
Brod ,   USA   (07.22.10)
Why should Israel be on the receiving end of thousands of Islamist-Jihadist missiles? The Iron Dome is part of the solution. The only effective solution is for Israel to crush any country or entity that dares to shower the State of Israel with missiles!
2. Bang! Bang! You're in safe hands :)
Salma ,   Palestine   (07.22.10)
3. Incorrect Facts
Harrybaby ,   Toronto Canada   (07.22.10)
Israel has 63 billion USD in foreign currency reserves. The cost of Iron Dome is ridiculously cheap, considering this. Clearly incorrect factuals in this article.
4. Pabulum for the Public
Dan ,   Titusville, FL   (07.22.10)
Irondome or any so called missile shield is pure pabulum for the public. Any shield can be overwhelmed and NO ONE EVER WON ANYTHING PLAYING DEFENSE.
5. Iron Dome
shlomo ,   San Jose, USA   (07.22.10)
A more effective and economical approach to deterrence is to build millions of small unguided rockets with sufficient range to hit most targets in Lebanon and publicly state that for each one they fire, we will fire 1000. Say to Hezbollah: If you make war on our civilians yours will suffer 1000 fold.
6. #1 absolutely right!
Torontonian ,   Canada   (07.22.10)
In the next conflict, when missiles/rockets/mortar shells/ANYTHING rains down on Israel...screw world opinion! Flatten it and take it over. Enough already! How many times can this repeat itself?? You lose your land if you can't control your own Jihadists.
7. #1 and #6 are 100% right
TC ,   Paris for now   (07.22.10)
We should have finished them in 2006 as well as 2009. Too bad we care too much about this f** world opinion.
8. moral & morale
Michael Storch ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.23.10)
You write "the system... whose absence will mostly be felt on the moral level." That's true enough, but I think the word you were looking for is "morale".
