Also search for Turkish diplomats who risked their lives to save Jews from the Nazis and Nazi collaborators in France, Greece and Germany: Selahattin Ulkumen, Necdet Kent, Namik Kemal Yolga and Behic Erkin. One of the Turkish diplomats pregnant wife was killed by the Nazis because he saved Jews from Greece. Also learn how Ataturk saved German Jewish academics from Germany. what's wrong with our PR ? 1- Is someone expecting thant by returning the ships international public opinion about israel is going to change ? 2- Is someones fool enough to believe that if those ships are going back to the terrorist organization IHH , they are not going to use them again ? 3 - the imediate reaction to Israel initiative to return the ships, was an UN demand for an international independent investigation on the Gaza flotilla. Our reaction....Zero !!! 4 - The returning of the ships just shows to the world that we , Israelis, agree that our defensive reaction was A MISTAKE and that we return the ships with our tail between our legs. It's like accepting the blame - and telling to the international opinion : Yes ...you are right....we are wrong. would France return a ship full of terrorits ready to kill French soldiers ? would the US return such a ship ? Would Germany...? What's wrong with us people ? Are we also beginning to believe the Hams and Al Kaida propaganda ...? returning the ships is a tragic PR mistake. It sends a message to the world that we acted wrongly - IDF soldiers were brutally atacked on the Marmara....and now we are sending a message that the boarding of the Marmara was a Mistake. I lived in Turkey from 1950 to 1980 and it was secular and modern. last year I made my last visit to Istanbul and Izmir and it is a whole different world. While Izmir is still better Istanbul has become very much Islamized. many covered women with dark CARFDAF, men with beards or almond mustaches carying worry beads all over the city even in Nisantasi and Istinye park.
