the construction of settlements does by no means allow the term genocide . Since the west bank is that area occupied by the arab legion in 1948 doesn't make it palestine. even the ceasefire document drawn up between the occupier jordan and the state of israel refers to "defining final borders in a peace agreement." Under jordan occupation there was not even the flimmsiest attempt to grant palis an autonomy.........and the palis did not complain.

Those of you, tooting your horn trying to twist facts to cover up facts, let's not forget: * Mavi Marmara got boarded and all events took place in international waters * Mavi Marmara was under flag of another nation on international waters * 9 Lives were taken of those on the ship * No IDF forces were killed * While protesters showed restraint, IDF did not * IDF forces boarding ships have disabled all video cameras on the ship and confiscated equipment and evidence by means of videos from those on the ship * Israel insists on not giving access to those that need to be interviewed the most It is difficult for the world to turn their eyes the other way when Israel under the context of self preservation commits crimes. Regardless of how you turn and twist the facts, 9 lives were taken on a peace mission by well trained heavily armed Israeli forces which has failed to show restraint and used force that was uncalled for which seems to be Israeli policy. Anyone that criticizes or disagrees with Israeli policy is marked as enemy by those with extreme views in Israel. If all nations and groups of people behave like Israel claiming self preservation and act in a similar fashion, I wonder where the human race would be? I welcome any talkbacks and your views.

Erasing a country off the map isnt exactly what israel did back in 1948, look again the west bank, gaza, galili, east jerusalem, all those where in arab countries hands but they didnt give it to the palastinians. TV footage showed the preparations of the thugs, arming themselves with metal rods and other potentially lethal objects. asearch of the cargo was not permitted ,only manifests shown. the state of Israel could not know whether the cargo contains weapons or not, but there was a hidh degree of suspicion when the organisers of the cruise are a terrorist supporting organisation to say the least. the protesters showed no! restraint but attacked the boarding party. And prior to this, for eight full years Hamas thugs launched nearly daily rocket attacks against Israel and Israeli citizens, aiming their fire toward kindergartens, schools, universities, old age homes, medical facilities, etc. But the UN Human Rights Council found neither the interest nor the time to address these nearly daily violations of human rights, almost as if to say: Jews are less than humans thus deserve no rights. Why, therefore, should anyone take this UN affiliated agency seriously...??!!

Avi, A few questions: * Were there weapons found on Mavi Marmara to threaten the existence of Israel? * How can you claim that flying a nation's flag on international waters is irrelevant? There are international laws laid out and Israel cannot dismiss this. * Do you believe everything you see on T.V.? Media does twist facts. Perhaps, you can point to us all where this footage can be viewed? * Rods, and slingshots vs. automatic rifles used to shoot civilians on the head in close quarters... What do you call this? Let an impartial committee investigate and get the to the bottom of this terrible event. Please also keep in mind, protests and civil acts such as this flotilla are aimed at pushing the limits.
