are vital for this week's sales in the gaza mall? They already paid for the ads.
2. In 4Y UN has not been able to guarantee aid to Gaza
lydia ,   Brisbane   (07.24.10)
If Israel Piracy on the high seas hadn't brought such exposure to the plight of the Palestinians, Israel would still be denying access to Gaza of basic food stuff. The UN has had no success in getting Israel to adhere to over 250 res. yet holds out hope that the activists intent on braking the illegal blockade should put Israel discomfort above the needs of the Palestinians. Pull the other one
3. Yes, but why deliver aid by land if one can confront the...
UniversalProgressive   (07.24.10)
...evil Jews, this tiny people that has dared to demand that which is the right of all other peoples, national self-determination and independence in its ancestral homeland, and has managed to bring it about despite all odds? Why not try to demonize it, to de-legitimize it and its state so as to ensure progressive Islamism throughout the region?
4. Lift blockade?
Nate ,   USA   (07.24.10)
We all know the UN is a useless organization, even Israel doesn't abide by its resolutions. It seems like they also forgot to mention that the blockade should be lifted. And they claim to stand firm and in solidarity against genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity, and ethnic cleansing. Pathetic to say the least.
5. :: Israel’s failed policies
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (07.23.10)
“Israel imposed the blockade in June 2006 after its soldier, Gilad Shalit, was captured by Gaza militants and tightened it a year later when Hamas seized power in the coastal strip”. The collective punishment, a war crime under international law, of the people of Gaza has failed to secure the release of Shalit. 1.5 million people, half of whom are children, have been deprived and punished by Israel for four years. The of banning children’s toys, basic food items, clothes & shoes etc has resulted in nought. The only thing that Israel may have achieved is the hatred of a new generation of Gazans who have never known freedom under Israeli occupation. How many more Israeli failed policies will the Palestinians have to endure before commonsense triumphs?
6. Aid to Gaza?
Albrecht Klein ,   Germany   (07.24.10)
The average income in Gaza is higher than in Egypt - and the "Palestinians" do not even have to work for it.
7. UNITED IDIOTS AT THE UNITED NATIONS
BENJAMIN ,   SINGAPORE   (07.24.10)
THE POINT OF ENTRY FRO AID HAS BEEN THORUGH THE LAND ALL THE WHILE FOR YEARS. BAN OF THE UNITED IDIOTS ( UN) FINALLY ADMITS TO THE FACTS THAT " THE FOLTILLAH" WAS VIOLATION OD ISRAELS SOVERIGN RIGHT . BAN HAS JUST SIGNED THE IDEA THAT ANY FUTURE ATTEMPT TO BREAK THE BLOCKADE IS DETRIMENT TO THE INFILTRATORS ( WHO EVER THE 'SOB" ) IN FUTURE ! THEREFORE ALL THAT PROBE INTO FLOTILLA RAID IS A WASTE OF TIME , ENERGY AND TALENTS ! THE MISTER OF DEFENCE BARAK SHOULD JUST ORDER A DIRECT PRECISION BOMD ON FUTURE INFILTARTORS. IF THEY ENTER THE WATERS OF ISRAEL THEY ASKED FOR THE IDF ..." WE LOVE YOU TREATMENT " BOMB THE PROVOCATORS !

Eyal ,   USA   (07.24.10)
Many more I hope and they are not failed policies, so get a grip. Tell the children of Gaza to buy their toys in the mall, they have many. Blame Hamas for your problems not Israel, cause it's boring to hear how Islamists like you think.
9. 2"4"5
funkyyaya ,   london   (07.24.10)
Take your blinkers off boys.....look at the whole picture.....but i doubt thats possible from people who only have a skewed veiw.....just ask yourself why Egypt never wished the return of Gaza.
10. #5 Ever hear of work for a living?
Cynthia ,   USA   (07.24.10)
Palestinian parents can go to the mall or local shops and buy food, clothing and toys for their children. They can also grow their own food, sew and manufacture their own clothing and shoes. Instead of buying millions of dollars in weapons, Hamas could invest in return to work programs to get Gazans off welfare. If Hamas did their part to end terror and stabilize the local economy, they could create more business opportunities for the people and be in a better position to attract foreign investment.
11. Crossings Have to Be Open
Mark of Lewiston ,   Lewiston USA   (07.24.10)
To deliver aid via an established land route, the crossings have to be open. They are and have been closed for the weekend, closed by Israel. Aid can't get through on the ground when the crossings are closed.
12. TO #10 Cynthia from Disneyland
Marwan ,   Amman, Jordan   (07.24.10)
palestinian malls get bombed by israeli F-16 planes every time israeli politicians need a few extra votes, palestinian lands have been getting confiscated for 40 years and now the palestinians have no more lands to grow their own food, yet even if they use the remaining lands for agriculture, the israeli settlers burn their trees and crops... as for sewing & manufacturing, israel consider it illegal for palestinians to do that either because they could use needles to make rockets. eventually there shall be one solution: all israelis join you in the USA where they really belong.
13. 100% right, Cynthia....and may I add
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (07.24.10)
...that Hamas currently welcomes investment in its thriving tunnel building sector.
14. marwan at it again
avi ,   haifa   (07.24.10)
dear boy. get your facts straight. the first and only mall in gaza never even heard the supersonic boom of an F16. there is quite a lot agriculture on the west bank. so much that israeli farmers are worried about the prices. as for sewing and manufacturing you simply lie, needles - rockets bull!!! help your "supressed " friends, who's standard of living is higher than in jordan and invite them in. i doubt your little king would ne pleased.
15. Marwan, who d'ya think you're kidding?
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (07.24.10)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1M4eH9Kk7I ...as for the eventual solution those of your 'Palestinians' brothers and sisters who hate Israel can always come home to you, can't they....CAN'T THEY?
16. # 12
Birdi ,   Israel   (07.24.10)
This is the first time a mall has been built in Gaza. It has not been bombed.Israel is not confiscating any land in Gaza, so the Gazans can grow food on that land. No settlers burn any land or olive groves anywhere near Gaza. Your argument is lame.
17. #12 Marwan aka Marco from Ali Babaville
Cynthia ,   USA   (07.24.10)
You need to get out more Marwan. Weapons smuggling tunnels and kassam rocket launch pads receive return fire when kassam rockets are fired at Israel. Palestinian farmers grow strawberries, citrus, dates, flowers, vegetables and olives. The Jews who vacated Gaza in 2005 left behind a thriving agri-business for the Palestinians. That land wasn't confiscated from the Palestinians. It was given to the Palestinians. Additional businesses in Gaza include textiles, plastics, construction materials, carpets, tile, stone and copperware. If they manufacture textiles and clothing, they obviously have sewing machines and needles.
18. #13
Omri ,   Israel   (07.24.10)
Thats hardly any help, a real improvment of economy would be done if hamas stops being a terror orginisation and have a free economy like the west bank.
19. common sense ???
Adrian Pencovici ,   Haifa - Israel   (07.24.10)
what do you mean by common sense....do you find any common sense on 9/11 ? Do you find any common sens on spanish trains bobing by Alquaida ? Do you find any coomon sense by the Marmara "peace shipa" bringin medicine to Gaza that are outdated for more than 5 years and where trown away by the Gaza authorities ? Do you Find any common sense of the fact the the Rachel Corry brought cement to Gaza that was 10 years old and had to be trown away by the palestinians because it was unfit to be used in construction. Do you find any coommon sense that the israeli government is puring millions of $ to pay the salaries of the Gaza palestinian politicians...? Did you know about all that ? Now let's talk about common sense...

22. # 12....
Dana Rothschild ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.24.10)
why not all the Palestinians join you in Jordan? it's their natural place.... instead of taking the Jordanian citizenship from some of them, you will give it to them all.... they will prosper and will be finally free in your and their country....
23. #2 - The Gazans disputed your claim
William ,   Israel   (07.24.10)
Funny how some dink from 10,000 miles away seems to know more than the Gazan actually living IN Gaza. Gazans already attested that NO humanitarian issue is occurring in Gaza, and show mountains of food and consumer items as their proof that they "beat Israel". It seems the only ones who still insist the Gazans are suffering are those with their own agendas - Hamas, UNWRA, and hateful people like you who are more interested in hurting Israel than helping Gazans. The BBC, CNN, Financial Times, and Ma'an (PA) all did in-depth investigations and stories on the situation in Gaza and all stated Gaza is not suffering. Plus - how can someone build a giant mall and fill it full of stuff if the Gazans have nothing nor building materials. Facts - once again - have destroyed your lame claim. I blow a vuvuzela in your general direction!
24. #5 - only collective punishment IF...
William ,   Israel   (07.24.10)
Gazans are NOT involved in the activities of its govt, and if Gazans are suffering from a humanitarian crisis. Well, the public support and activity of Gazans in Hamas activities negate the first, while the new mall and loads of goods in Gaza negate the second. Anything else, loser?
25. #11 - closed ONLY for the weekend?
William ,   Israel   (07.24.10)
I cry a river for you Mark of Lewiston. So, do you agree that the crossings have been open before the weekend with constant operation....provided that the security situation around them is stable and Hamas isn't launching attacks on the deliveries as they've been known to do? As precedent, when the crossings are due to be closed due to holidays, etc. all parties are informed and extra shipments are made ahead of time to cover the closure. You're welcome to do research before making false accusations.
26. #5 - speaking of collective punishment in Gaza
William ,   Israel   (07.24.10)
what do you call it when Hamas attacks border crossings essentially resulting in its closure in order to protect workers (most of them Gazans)? What do you call it when Hamas refuses to accept aid into Gaza for their so-called "starving" citizens, and attack/steal aid from UN convoys that are delivering aid? What do you call it when Hamas launched attacks on the Erez Industrial Park killing tens of "Palestinians" and essentially causing its closure and the loss of hundreds of productive jobs? What do you call it when Hamas launches an attack on a sovereign nation which provided employment to the Gazan population, essentially dumping the population into unemployment and despair? What do you call it when Hamas launches directives pushing strict Islamic ideology on a non-receptive population, opening the door for attacks on UN-run summer programs which provided services to many, many children? When one considers all of these actions, it's clear to see where the "collective punishment" of Gazans come from.
27. 25 Wm - Learn what Your Side Does
Mark of Lewiston ,   Lewiston USA   (07.24.10)
The average is one crossing partially open three days a week. Israel still hasn't implemented is "eased" policy. They may have given Obama a secret list, but haven't published it anywhere. Only one-fifth of the needed volume of goods is allowed entry. You want an end of the flotillas, have your gov keep its word. Let the goods flow.
28. 10 The Palestinian land is the Equity that built Israel
lydia ,   Brisbane   (07.25.10)
When the US the EU and UN shrugs off Israels responsibility and gives the bill to Israel for its illegal appropriation and occupation of Palestinian land. The Palestinians should sit back like the Aboriginals and live off the generated profits of the equity their land and blood generated for the Jewish state.
29. aid? send Gilad home first
f   (07.25.10)
send Gilad home and then maybe we can talk about a future. meanwhile, aid to Gazans...boo hoo...
30. aid?
