This a very moving article but even more so a hugely laudable initiative to let kids be kids and not politicians.

I'm sure there are many Jewish youths who cannot afford a day at the beach. Why not help them instead? Why do this for Arabs?

Imagine that, exposing kids to a beach where men and women expose large portions of skin, yet get along just fine. You know that arabs will claim that this is immoral and the Jews are trying to corrupt their children. Retaliation is probably being panned as we read this. If not, the harediem morality police will.

You know, this sort of remark is why people are starting to turn away from supporting Israel--your racism is showing and it's ugly. I suppose you hate blacks too, eh? No? You wouldn't be bothered with blacks on a US beach? I am a strong conservative supporter of Israel, but that does not equate to automatically thinking all Palestinians should go to Gaza, or that all blacks should go back to Africa. Think about what flows out of you because so far it looks like both ends match. And #2, you don't have to strap every Arab to a wall in a cell in order to honor the dead. Collective hatred doesn't result in a collective conscience--why? Because unless a person is actually guilty, they just think the truth, which is that they are being made to pay for what others have done. While I totally agree with the separation wall construction and house demolitions, these people merely desire to take their children to the beach under supervision. I have spent opts of time in Israel and it never occurred to me that Palestinians do not go to the beach. So this story is an eye opener. One last remarks is that the editor could have made this into a spectacular piece with some work on editing. It is a great story very poorly written.

Kids in Colorado, Kansas and Iowa don't normally visit the beach either, I don't see anyone making a fund for ocean beach trips for kids who live in Colorado.

Your comments are disgusting. You don't want peace. You're driven by your greed and selfish desire not to share land and in this case, a beach. You treat these children like criminals for breathing the same air as you. The next time you complain about anti-semitism or peoples hate for you, refer back to your words, attitudes and actions, then maybe you'll be able to understand why you deserve it. What these Jewish women did for these children was show humanity, I wish there was more people like this and less people like those who make such hateful and nasty comments.

These women are a shining example not only to Israel but to humanity. Despite all the hatred and religious differences they tore down the barriers which divide us and opened their hearts to helping others. They make me proud to be Israeli.

It's because these children are taught hate. They need to see a little love from somewhere! How can you expect them to not hate you if you won't bend a little and be willing to show them a little kindness. When you begrudge these poor children a little kindness you only prove to them and to the world that perhaps they have good reason to hate you. How can you expect others to treat you or your children with respect if you show so much hate yourselves?

There are probably more Jewish kids in Israel who haven't been to the beach than Arabs. This article is disgusting.

What you just read wasnt racism it was nationalism, where one loves and cares for people from his own country more then people from other countries. This is not a crime and is VERY common. And this is also something those leftis dont have for they seem to neglect the fact that there are also poor jews in israel that had never had the money to go to the sea themselves. The fact that they chose the poor palastinians and not the poor jews is obviestly becouse that will: 1. get more attention 2. serve their political view This nationalism is nothing special, if a british orginisation would take french poor people to visit the sea then im sure many british people would be angry for "why not take our poor british fellows to the sea? why french?" btw i've veen to the sea and I've seen many arab speaking people down there dont believe leftis propaganda that the beaches are only used by jews.

I learned a lot about some of you individual posters, especially in your comments about the children. It reminded me of the old warning, expressed throughout history in different religions and philosophies, about becoming like your enemies. Some of you seem to be well on your way. From the best I can tell, and certainly to their credit, the vast majority of Israelis probably approve of this project, even if it IS organized by leftists.

I don't see y they should do it in Israel.
