What we are seeing is the consequence of Barak's politicization of the IDF! He believes he can push and push, and now the situation is exploding. Five years after Gush Katiff, many people believe that you cannot trust politicians and take the example of the arabs, simply saying "Enough is enough" Of course it's not the correct attitude, but it's logical! Barak destroyed Labor and he is now destroying the IDF! If any body near Bibi has any common sense explain it to him, the price of keeping Barak near may be Civil War! We don't want to see Jews fighting Jews!!! Please do something before it's too late!!!

Again we see the cowardly groveling backstabbing minister of evictions (barak) in action against jews The only missing unit is the swartzsticker on the armbands of his stoormtroopers. Barak hates jews more than hitler PROVED BY HIS ACTIONS. The civil war is very near. What will the corrupt politicians do when one sodier is killed in these actions against jews??? Blame the pioneers for building Israel !!!!!!

And what are you? Maybe you should worry more about protecting your T A from raining missiles in the near future

6. :: More mindless destruction by settlers
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (07.26.10)
How brave of the illegal settlers to set fields alight and burn olive groves. How righteous of the illegal settlers to show their love of this ‘holy land’ by destroying it. Let us watch the might IDF let these Yesha Yobs run riot and attack ‘soft target’.
7. criminal acts
Seppo ,   Finland   (07.26.10)
It is a criminal act to destroy somebody else's property according to any civilized law. What did local authorities do to punish these pal criminals? Or is it only IDF which has nothing to do with prosecutions. Is there any court around there? Based on the article it looks to me that only criminals in the area are the settlers in the governement's mind
8. Restrain the settlers
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (07.26.10)
While this group of Israeli's make up a minority in Israel (5%-7%) they must be restrained by the IDF. If they degenerate to using similar tactics of the Palestinian terrorists, they hurt Israel from a PR sense. Not only is what they are doing wrong, they need use the legal system in Israel...respected worldwide...to make their claims. Otherwise they will be seen...and rightly so...as no different than the terrorists Israel has fought since its rebirth. Most people in Israel don't support these Jewish groups, while the Palestinians support the terrorism by groups like Hamas i.e. pizza cafe suicide bombing had a 73% support according to the Palestinians own polling as legitimate "resistance" their euphemism for terrorism. That has always been the key difference.

10. Your biggest threat, is not us, it is yourselves.
Palestinian   (07.26.10)
We do not want to kill you, we do not want to be killed. We do not want to expell you, we do not want to be expelled. We do not want to take your land, we do not want you to take ours. We do not want to attack you, we do not want to be attacked. If you cannot live with your own, how can you live with us? We knew no war before you. With you, we know no peace.

13. The real question is...
Philip ,   Afula ,Israel   (07.26.10)
Why does the government of "the only democracy in the middle east" tolerate this cowardly hooligan behaviour. It happens time and again and nothing is ever done.
14. Mark, please..
Harry ,   London, England   (07.26.10)
Palestinians are not all terrorists, please do not refer to them collectively as terrorists. How would you feel if a group of people showed up, built illegally on your land and then set fire to the rest? Think before you open your mouth please. Or just read, maybe one book? Or watch the news. Just once. Please. It's for your benefit as much as mine, as reading your comment made me wonder whether some people are just born without a conscience or any concept of rationality.
15. Harry please.....
Eliyahu Konn ,   Columbus, OH   (07.26.10)
At least start your comment, "In my opinion the land is the Arabs," because you have a right, I suppose, to your opinion as unfounded as it is. History is not however, yours to rewrite. Besides you know as well as anyone it is the one with bigger guns that gets the land and especially when provoked by a nation rushing to the supposed spoils like Jordan did in 67.
16. Price tag justice is an inevitable result of oppression.
Chaim ,   Israel   (07.26.10)
There is nothing pleasant about price tag justice. It would be far better if Judea and Samaria Jews didn't have to resort to making the authorities pay for oppressing them. However, the reality is that Israel is a pretend democracy. Israeli leaders betray their promises and pledges on a constant basis. Sharon is elected in a landslide to keep Jewish Gaza. He destroys Jewish Gaza. Bibi is elected to build Judea and Samaria. Instead he imposes a racist settlement freeze on Judea and Samaria. Since there is no justice available in the polling booths or courts, price tag justice has emerged. It is an inevitable result of oppression.

Tatyana ,   USA   (07.26.10)
No, why dont you ask the real question, why does the democracy tolerates assaults on the citizens all the time by rocks, molotov cocktails, ambushing of cars with jews in them, kassam rockets being thrown at their loyal citizens, etc... This is the real question. To call these settlers cowards is a bit silly. It's extremely sad that the government is making these pioneers resort to such activities.
18. Incitement and inequality of Justice for resettlers.
Yaakov ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.26.10)
The re-settlers should be respected for going back to return to the land after it being ethnically cleansed of Jews in 1948-1967. YNET should not use the propagandistic word "settler" as to imply we have never been there before in Judea and Samaria. The Arabs still live in our old towns bareing Hebrew names with an Arabic accent. They are either resettling or simply Israeli/Jewish citizens or inhabitants of Jewish communities of Judea and Samaria. These are not mobile homes and tents by and large but communities with nice houses and infrstaructure. but until they are built they have to live an austere life...a great sacrifice. they are on the front line protecting people who live in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Wow how they love to play with semantics! The names settler or colonizer is however historically accurate to describe the Arab residents. It is understandable as the racist one-sided actions against Jews....Wow the Arabs are no doubt laughing at us as we hurt our own cause and destroy our buildings on our land. Also, Jews suffer the same actions by the Arabs and even worse (such as sever injuries and deaths). maybe if the Arabs receive a little bit they will think the next time they want to destroy Jewish fields and attacka Jew. Maybe they will respect Jews more. Too bad about the Jewish olive trees in the Arab-occupied areas though. Certainly there is a 90% chance that originally Jewish hands tended those olive groves. Arabs steal more land and build illegal structures everywhere everyday and only a handful of them are destroyed especially per capita for perspective! The supreme court has just been shown to be complicit with Arab illegal buiding and slow to act while almost always odering destruction of so-called Jewish illegla structures. Bottom line IDF and Barak are to blame.
19. Settlers
Ron ,   Jamestown, USA   (07.27.10)
If Israel stuck together like the Settlers, the strength of David would return. The land is not the West Bank, it's East Israel.
20. what joke ... your opinion polls say exaclty oposite..
naftali ,   jerusalem   (07.27.10)
you must think WE are FRIARS....
21. #10 A bigger threat is to forget !
moshe ,   Tivon   (02.13.11)
I believe you don't want to kill us, instead you tolerate pal Suicide Bombers I believe you don't want to be expelled, instead that will be the work of a million Moslem Brotherhood members I believe you don't want to "take" Israel, other Arabs have tried and failed. I believe you don't want to attack us, because Israel has superior weaponry and techniques I believe you can live with ahl al-dhimmah Jews, it 's just as difficult to live with you. I believe you don't remember the 5 WARS ... 1948–49, 1956, 1967, 1973–74, and 1982 moshe
