Regarding this forbidding . Their Rabbis think maybe that their belief is'nt very strong , that they can easily be influenced by the external [ secular ] world . As we had'nt internet , TV nor phone , in our young years , we played "doctor" , live study !

They spoke yiddish and didn't read or write in polish language despite living there for 800 years. During Poland's partition by 3 powers they communicated in their (occupiers)languages most of the time and very seldom in native. You evading my question that is how many of those Nobel price winners are an orthodox Jews?

I am looking forward to passing it on to the staff and crew of the airline I am travelling on tomorrow! I have written down the name of the Rabbi, and woe betide anyone on the plane who dares to insist on having a minyan in the aisle!

You seem to have a lot to say about intellectualism among Jews. About Einsteins and Nobel winners and the like! Tell us Charles, who are you? What is your great gift to humankind? From your talkbacks it seems that all you have to offer is a lot of hate and judgmental attitude. Who cares if you speak Yiddish? Have you shown anyone love today? Have you reached out your hand to help one less fortunate than yourself? Or is your major contribution setting at your computer criticizing everyone else. Just curious. Have a good day Charles.
