Of course Hamas the "Godfather" of their mafia styled government has been hurt financially since their cut of the action is a fraction of what it used to be. But still at the end of day, it is the Palestinians who refuse the direct talks.

Actually limited secret direct talks have already started but for direct talks to work they need to be some what close to final agreement before starting them. US, EU and Russia have already agreed to modified Saudi plan with both Israel and PA on board to a 2 state solution.
