m   (08.02.10)
All this in Israel the land of the crazies. But hey, Ynet is thrilled.
9. Jews have nothing to be ashamed of
gb ,   state of wisdom   (08.02.10)
If the Jewish mystical tradition appeals to people, how can we be ashamed? A Jewish kid marries the daughter of a former President, what is the shame in that? We live in this world and this time. Our faith, teachings and people still matter. Better to bless and be for a blessing than worrying about those who borrow our teachings or live on the periphery of our people. Without Ruth, we would have no Psalms or the Temples and our sages accord a baal tshuva the highest moral merit.
10. Rabbi Yehuda Berg?
Jake ,   USA   (08.02.10)
The man has good intentions, and a very controversial agenda. Either way, I wouldn't call him a rabbi.
11. #6, "Goy" is as disgusting a word as "Jew" or "Black"
Jake ,   USA   (08.03.10)
If a racist uses the word in a derogatory fashion, than yes it is disgusting. Goy is a Hebrew word which translates to "nation" (as in, a member of another nation). Israel is referred to as "Goy" several times in daily prayers. There is nothing inherently wrong with the term.
12. #4
Iranian Jew ,   LA   (08.03.10)
Why are you so mad? This story concerns no one. It has nothing to do with you. Stop insulting others and go about your business. Unless you feel like you have to judge everyone through Islam and then force them to take your ideology. .. Take a chill pill and a cold shower.
13. kabala wedding
ariella ,   holon, israel   (08.03.10)
none of anyone's business what a couple chooses to do. when have we become such rightous people that we critisize everyone? let people live in peace with their choice. ifpeople arrive here in peace they are welcome.
14. to #12 you don't get it, palis like attantion
ghostq   (08.03.10)
like any small child when they don't get attantion they will kick or do worse to get it, they demand attantion in all costs, they go plesure from someone mention them and give them money, other wise they get pety about it, just fine example of the poor me act they like to do.
15. we wish them every happiness and...
dante ,   uk   (08.04.10)
we hope that their spiritual journey is a rewarding one. the most interesting people are the "searchers," the people who are not content with a bovine appreciation of their existence. it is not a simple thing. and, there are many challenges to one's efforts to respond to what Lincoln called the "better angels of our nature."
16. Not a full Jewish wedding
Jacob Erickson ,   Holon, Israel   (08.04.10)
Too bad the lovely couple didn't get to experience the full extent of a Jewish-Israeli wedding when they brought in their own celebrity rabbi to officiate the ceremony. They failed to get the amazing experience of having to spend months of going to the rabinical council and submit a hundred different documents and be denied a dozen times in their quest to prove that they are actually Jewish in the predjudiced eyes of the rabinical council of this country.
17. I'm shocked that no one would at least Congratulate....
NoPatienceForIdiots ,   Dawson's Creek   (08.04.10)
...these newlyweds! Who cares if it's not your definition of Judaism! They decided to come to Israel to get married. They could afford to go anywhere, but they chose to spend the most special day of their lives in your country! Whereas Elvis Costello, the Pixies, and others won't even step foot on Israeli soil to play a routine set. These people are friendly, treat them as such.
18. PATHETIC!!
diana ,   new york USA   (08.21.10)
How pathetic is this: A Rabbi marrying TWO GOYS!!! First of all, this Rabbi is nothing but a Joke. If he had any TRUE regard for the Jewish faith, he would have known better than to even THINK about marrying them. Israel should disgrace him! As for the two actors...go get a Muslim wedding and see how THEY would feel!!!!!!!!!!!!
