1. Saudi king and Assad recently visited Labanon!
Daniel ,   Israel   (08.04.10)
2. on ROUTINE
observer   (08.04.10)
On Saturday, October 12, 1967, the Eilat, on ROUTINE patrol, was ambushed by Egyptian missile boats. The day before the destroyer left port, Shoshan was told by the deputy commander of the navy, Avraham Botzer, that according to intelligence reports the Egyptians had discovered the patrols and knew about the presence of the Israeli destroyer "under their noses" at THEIR TERRITORIAL WATERS. Does ROUTINE make it always legal?
3. I like this bit....
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (08.04.10)
".....the Lebanese army, who rushed to evacuate its positions following Tuesday's incident for fear of a painful Israeli response, realizes that it would pay a heavy price should a similar incident repeat." That's not all they evacuated.
4. and what do we have to lose?
yakov ,   jer is   (08.04.10)
'continue to cut down'- like little children threatening to use stronger force in a fight- we need to change - become more sensitive more grownup and join the civilized world.
5. clear contradiction here !
Salma ,   Palestine   (08.04.10)
On the one hand, deadly ambush by Lebanese army,on the other hand Lebanese army realizes that it would pay a heavy price C'mon senior army official , Don't be afraid to admit you're scared of Hezbollah ;)

judith ,   Brisbane   (08.04.10)
Not if Hezbollah deftly places some IEDs on their side of the fence. They can always blame it on Israels left over cluster bombs
10. Damb Right
Hakim ,   Palestine   (08.04.10)
there following every move!! Lebanon has nothing to lose nor does Syria nor does any other muslim country for that matter. Israel has everything to lose so she better behave herself!!!
11. #5 C'mon Salma, don't be afraid to admit
Cynthia ,   USA   (08.04.10)
Hezbollah is just another Islamic terrorist group rallying behind Palestinians to advance their own agenda. All the while, 400,000 Palestinians rot away in Lebanese refugee camps as Nasrallah does nothing to help them. And this is your hero, the one who hides from the IDF while provoking conflict.
12. Trying to deflect spotlight from Hezbollah inditement
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & New York   (08.04.10)
This is obviously an attempt to distract the world from the Harai commission's indictment of Hezbollah official in the murder of their late Leader.
13. Cynthia, you're so kind
jacob ,   encino, ca   (08.04.10)
If you admit the palestinains need help in Lebanon then why push the 400K refugees there on the tiny and poor nation of Lebanon. Why should not America be gracious and take them in? What do you say huh. Universal justice will somehow make you and hitsrael pay for the crimes against the poor, the oppressed, and the defenseless.
14. Healthy logic, great mind!
GGH ,   Israel   (08.04.10)
It was not in their territorial grounds. the trenches are Israeli ground, acknowledged by all sides including Lebanon and the UN.
15. Border clashes and Flotilela?!?
Ali ,   South Lebanin   (08.04.10)
Israel killed 9 turkish civilian peace activitists because they tried to break into palestinean water occupied by israel!!! and Lebanon has NO RIGHT to shoot armed israeli soldiers trying to break into their land.....ofcourse, because they are GOD's chosen people and we are just "goyem" TYPICAL ZIONIST MENTALITY.
16. lebanese untruth and lebanese set up
jon   (08.04.10)
the tree was situated in israel contrary to all the lebanese quotes in the worlds media. Its irrelevant where Israel has the fence, or 10 fences , the wall or a gate. If its inside its border it can choose to do whatever it likes logically.
17. #13;jacob, you sound mad, just at the wrong people
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (08.04.10)
In every war throughout all time refugee's are created. So what! That's part of the horror of war and a good reason to avoid it. But in all other wars refugee's were absorbed into the surrounding countries they fled to, or sometimes they came back after the war. Except for the Palestinians. Who were denied citizenship and civil rights in the neighboring countries. It was the first time in history that happened, and according to the Muslim leaders of that time, who wrote in their memoirs the truth. It was the Muslims who abandoned the Palestinians, not Israel. So stop playing the victim to quote you: 'poor, the oppressed, and the defenseless." Your right, the Pals are poor and oppressed, but their own people, and as far as defenseless they keep saying in all the posts how they can kick Israel's ass. So why would I believe that?
18. Salma - willing to fight to the last Lebanese
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (08.04.10)
Good to see that Salma thinks the IDF is "scared of Hezbollah". We're not. Did you notice Nasrallah's speech last night? Notice that he wasn't there, but was broadcast from some bunker somewhere? Why is that, Salma? Why doesn't Nasrallah show his face in public anymore? In fact, Nasrallah has been in hiding for the past 4 years - since he started the 2006 Lebanese war that left over 1000 Lebanese dead and billions of dollars in damage. Oh yes. It was a mighty victory over the IDF. Glorious. Amazing. Every family of those 1000 dead Lebanese dances for joy every year on the anniversary of the war, and sing praises to the high and mighty (and brave, of course) Nasrallah. That's ok. Sure, we're scared of Nasrallah. If you can tell him to crawl out of whatever hole he's hiding in, then we'll tell him to his face.
19. Typical arabs
Ben ,   colorado   (08.04.10)
I like that all arabs countries ignore all the human rights violations around the world such as darfur, north korea iran and everywhere else but anything involving israel is totally horrible! because we all know arab countries are so sophiscated and humane. Iran is the most sophiscated country in the arab world and its just another third world country to everyone else. get a clue and go back to fighting each other you will never get jerusalem back and you will all die trying
20. to 19
Ben Hur ,   Isratina   (08.04.10)
Just foryour information, Iran is not an arab country, the iranians are persians not arabs
21. # 11 Cynthia,However, Nasrallah, isa unique leadership model
Salma ,   Palestine   (08.04.10)
do you know who is the Preferred Leader for my mom?! Yitzhak Rabin ! yea can you believe it?! Cynthia, does this tell you something, hope so .
22. Brian Cohen ,the answer is very easy
Salma ,   Palestine   (08.04.10)
You ask, Why doesn't Nasrallah show his face in public anymore? I answer: Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah know that you wanna to kill him as soon as possible, while he still has a lot of work to do it, he will be ready to be a martyr When Allah wills :(
23. New defense minister
A ,   Belgium   (08.04.10)
Israel better find a new defense minister fast, instead of that overstuffed peacock Ehud Barak. A defense minister who wil get the IDF and IAF in fast, do maximum destruction, and get out fast with minimum Israeli casualties. Hizbollah and Lebanon are looking for a fight, let 'em have it, send them back to the Stone Age, but let the fight be led by a fighter (doesn't Israel have a George Patton anywhere?), not the clown Barak.
24. to #6 WE ARE ALL RESISTANCE
A ,   Belgium   (08.04.10)
Bet you cant resist a big bowl of spaghetti with a good red wine there in Italy, éh Bashr?
25. yes you are.#18.
dominio ,   lebanon   (08.04.10)
I don't think the IDF is scared from hizbulla. they are professional soldiers. but lets be honest the idf when in battle in lebanon they are definatly scared. unless they are stupid or too stoned to feel scared. the last war in lebanon did damage lebanon quite alot but not HIzbulla, and the damage to the IDF and israel was alot more painful. israel as it is now will never ever survive as it is , you know it. the whole zionest movement is not infavor to the jews. you can only survive so much in the bees hive. unless you tame them.
26. Lebanese Army pays salaries to Hizb.people. (inside) and sav
USA finances Leb.Arm   (08.04.10)
this way Hizballah saves money, it also launders his money because probably as a terror org it gets less moneys but the Lebanese Army is receiving money from many sources including usa
27. Hakim
daniel ,   london   (08.04.10)
Muslim countries have nothing to loose? mmmmm i could not agree more. 1.5 billion muslims and nothing worth protecting. its a telling statement of your worth and value to humanity.
28. Thanks Salma - we knew Nasrallah is scared
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (08.04.10)
If he wanted to be a martyr, then he would have given his life already. You seem to be happy that he is willing to make thousands of other people into martyrs. You call this "leadership". We call it war crimes. Admit it, Salma, Nasrallah is scared of Israel. He is weak, which is why he hides. He hates non-Shiites, which is why he wants to take over Lebanon and enslave the entire non-Shiite population. But you must want Nasrallah to be supreme dictator of Lebanon, right? I mean, you don't really care about elections (since Hezbollah lost badly). Let me guess - you want Nasrallah to take over Lebanon and give suicide bombs to all the Palestinians, who will then march to the Israeli border and overwhelm the Israeli soldiers... they will all keep going until they find Israelis and then martyr themselves to redeem their homeland. Sounds like a great plan. How many martyrs do you think it will take to blow up Israelis from the Lebanese border down to Gaza? Will Nasrallah have enough material to work with?
29. ARABIC NATIONALIZM SAYING HELLO ( RISING, GROWING )
ATİLLA KARAGÖZOĞLU   (08.04.10)
30. Lebanon
Michael Pielet ,   boca raton, usa   (08.04.10)
Reality. Lebanon is Hizbollah, and Hizbollah is Lebanon. Israel should stop huffing and puffing and issuing idle threats. At the appropriate time strike one of the masters, Syria and destroy Damascus.
