31. Just listened to Nasrallah's speech
Nour ,   One-State فلسطين   (08.04.10)
It is free of slogans and empty threats, it is well-nuanced, well-calculated, well-expressed, balanced, and truthful. In brief, Nasrallah is the best Arab leader for decades, probably since Abdul Nasser. If Israel had any leaders who says the truth like that, to his own people, we would be closer to a real peace today. Hate him or not, Nasrallah is a hero for Lebanon, his people, and all people yearning for freedom and dignity.

33. Nasrallah a hero?
Mickey Hala ,   Kochav Ya'ir, Israel   (08.04.10)
Nasrallah is an idiot. Nasser lost 2 wars. When the Arabs learn to love their children more than they hate us, there will be peace. - Golda Meir
34. bla bla bla

All that i hear is BLA BLA BLA.... no more men! men don't talk; they do
35. The name's close enough, you fired on your blood brother.
Ernest ,   USA   (08.04.10)
The loss of innocent life is always sad and condolenses go out to the family and friends of the deceased. Nobody wishes this on themselves. Lt. Col. (res) Dor Harari fell victim to this provocation. The names "Harari" and "Hariri" are so similar. Israel lost a faithful soldier and, could it be, Lebanon lost one of their own as well. This is like a bad dream. This isn't the way it suppose to be. There's faith, and with the right kinds of actions, it can come to fruition. And, it suppose to be good. Try and continue to try.
36. #31; Nour, I didn't listen to the speech...
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (08.04.10)
But I did read excepts from the speech yesterday. It's funny how people react to speech's., for instance, here in the U.S. in the early 1960's, there was a Nixon/Kennedy Presidential debates I believe the first ever televised. People who heard the debate's on the radio thought Nixon won, people who watched on TV thought Kennedy won. My reaction to Nasrallah"s speech was that way with you, I wrote my reaction yesterday on a different article: "While reading some of the excerpts it sounded childish. Something you might say when you were in elementary school. I guess it reflects the audience he has to appeal to, his demographic." I still feels that way. So while you thought the speech as you put it: "it is well-nuanced, well-calculated, well-expressed, balanced, and truthful." I still stand by my opinion, as I'm sure you still stand by yours.

i find your post rather trashy considering that hundreds of thousands of palestinians in lebanon still languish in concentration camps, without sewage or water infrastructure, living in dilapidated buildings, not able to go out side their camp and constantly watched by the lebanese army, no rights to vote, no civil rights, no nutrition of any kind, no right to be citizens, no right to work outside the camp and no national rights at all to basic free education, free medical care. NOUR! THEY ARE ALL IN A PRISON CONCENTRATION CAMP IN LEBANON. THEY ARE ALSO IN CONCENTRATION CAMPS IN SYRIA AND EGYPT AND THE RULERS THERE HAVE NO INTENTION TO MAKE THEIR LIVES EASY OR HUMANE. if hizbulla is to resist anything, it should ressist the treatment and living conditions these palestinians are living under thanks to the "love and ressistence and humanity" of these arab nations. have you see how your people live in lebanon, in syria and in egypt? have you heard of how many were murdered and tortured by these nations? does hama and black september ring a bell? in one swoop hafez assad murdered 20,000 palestinians in one day operation for simply disagreeing with him in hama. in one week operation, the jordanian army murdered 20,000 palestinians ressisting the kingdom. in one week operation, the lebanese army murdered half of al badr refugee camps and destroyed every life there and totalled the camp, causing the death of hundreds of palestinians in that lebanese refugee camp done by the lebanese army itself. in one week, saudi arabia kicked out almost 40,000 palestinians living in saudi arabia after the iraq war for supporting in spirit saddam hussein. in one week's time, the jordanian government stripped more than 2,700 palestinians born in jordan and holding jordanian citizenship. in a single week, saddam murdered with gas kursidh citizens...hundred thousands of them. where is your ressistence to these atrocities? after all, you claim to be the spokesman for the palestinian ressistence. you claim to be their ambassador for their rights all over. is it really that you feel only israel is responsible for them and the treatment they recieve by their arab brothers that is much worse than israel does not important to you???? if you ressist, ressist the very arab regimes that suffocate your people, treat them like animals, torture them, expell them and make their lives a hell on earth. where is their humanity? where is their concern? because they always claim, like you, to fight for the betterment of the palestinian cause while all along they torture and demean them and relegate them to a hell on earth. why don't you ressist this treatment if you are really fair and support your people. on the other hand, look at how israel treats it israeli arab citizens. by comparrison, you arabs should be ashamed of yourselves. hameeda boughaze, iranian

They lie even when asking questions.

40. #2 - Intl Law makes it legal...as UNIFIL confirmed

Suck on that!
41. #6 - so don't cry when you ALL pay the price

42. #9 - If IEDs on Lebanon's side...it won't matter
William ,   Israel   (08.04.10)
The Israelis were clearly on their side of the border, so let Hizbullah place a hundred IED there. More than likely, they'll just end up killing LAF or UNIFIL soldiers.
43. #25 - one point on Lebanon
William ,   Israel   (08.04.10)
Speaking of "taming" citizens, it seems caution is the key word when referencing Lebanon in Intl circles these days. Sectarian tensions and pressures from Iran through its proxies Syria and Hizbullah, created a veritable pressure cooker. Look at the threats that flew when the UN was ready to indict Hiz in Harari's assassination. and the fear Hizbullah instills in the population, especially after using its weapons against Lebanese despite promising never to do so. The question is - will Lebanon survive? Maybe not as it was first conceived. What used to be a Christian-majority country, peaceful and sophisticated, will now devolve into a colony of the Shia Crescent with the loss of many freedoms and free-thinking. It's truly a shame you have no desire to fight for the real Lebanon.
