The operation was orchestrated by then Lieutenant-Colonel Ehud Barak, who served as the unit's commander. One of the fighters on board the plane was Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. So how and when they became our coward leaders?

6. The circumstances: Palestinian terrorism
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (08.05.10)
Just a reminder to all that Levy's heroism was because of Palestinian terrorism and war crimes. The Sabena hijacking is just a reminder that Palestinian war crimes were not invented in Gaza, but reflect decades of official Palestinian policy to attack and kill civilians. It's not "resistance to the occupation". It's not "fighting for liberation". It's war crimes. It's a reminder of the Palestinians great contribution to the world: modern terrorism that included international airline hijackings, murdering Olypmic athletes, and attacking synagogues and offices around the world. This is the Palestinian legacy of war crimes they want to build their nation on. The world does not need such a nation. We have yet to hear the Palestinians say that they abandon violence and will be a peaceful nation.

11. # 6 Response
Sagi   (08.05.10)
War crimes are committed in a theatre of military operations. Arab terrorism is not war crimes, it is crime against humanity, just plain and simple crimes. Commercial airplanes and buildings in New York and buses in Tel Aviv are not battlefields. In all these instances there was an armed attacker and an unarmed victim, not a battlefield by any measure. Just criminal activity perpetrated by folks who had been taught to be criminals from the day they were born. It was insidiously induced in them through their mother's milk and in primary school and so on.
12. stop splitting hairs he saved lives he's a hero...
(08.05.10)
it doesn't matter if he was Xtian! What matters is that he was a Mentch! He saved lives and that makes him a hero! His memory should be for a blessing and his family should receive comfort from the Heavens.
13. Sagi - a) you're wrong b) stop minimizing Pal war crimes
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (08.06.10)
Sagi - where did you ever come up with such verbal gobbldygook? You obviously don't pay attention to the people who monitor war crimes, so here are two direct quotes from very, very reliable sources. I'm sure you have respect for both, so are you going to call them amateurs who don't know what they're talking about? Palestinians committed and continue to commit war crimes. It's not my conclusion, but the conclusion of the experts: "... the [Goldstone] report contains the clearest finding that Hamas and other militant Palestinian groups committed serious war crimes and possibly crimes against humanity. The acceptance of those findings by the Human Rights Council and the General Assembly has been ignored completely..." Richard Goldstone, Interviewed by Ha'aretz, Nov 13 2009 "Whether or not attacks actually result in civilian casualties, they are in violation of international law, which also prohibits attacks aimed at spreading terror among the civilian population. The patterns of attacks and statements by members and leaders of Palestinian groups also indicate that they have no qualms about launching attacks against civilians and that they in fact carry out such attacks intending to kill and injure Israeli civilians. Such attacks constitute war crimes." Amnesty International report:ISRAEL/GAZA OPERATION ‘CAST LEAD’:22 DAYS OF DEATH AND DESTRUCTION July 2, 2009

You are right , but i just gave a clarification to # 4 : the reason why he had a church ceremony . That he was a great guy , no doubd .
15. Sagi & Brian : what's in a name ?
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (08.06.10)
They were criminals , nothing more . We are NOT at a justice court here , where differences are made between "war" and "against Humanity" crimes
