1. I don't believe it: our soldiers were attacked
Vardina   (08.05.10)
and we have to commit ourself to refrain from violence? If our leaders agree with that - they are sick in their heads!
2. Fix this LAF
M Carr ,   Baltimore   (08.05.10)
It is good that the border incident is being investigated. If the shooter was part of a renegade element then let the Lebanese deal with them. If the encounter was ordered by the government then there has to be a very high price to pay. Lebanon is crawling with collaborators so the truth will be known shortly. Once the details are known, the Lebanese must convince the Israelis that appropriate measures been put in place to prevent further incidents. If the Lebanese refuse then they should be reminded that Israel also has very capable snipers.
3. We have failed the test
Shimon ,   Poleg   (08.05.10)
They tested our committment to defend our soldiers and civilians and we have failed the test. Israel was attacked by Lebanon and we have not retaliated. This was an act of war. We should now be bombing Beirut Non-stop day and night until Lebanon's unconditional surrender after such an incident. We have become a joke!
4. You have no other choice but to keep quiet .
Salma ,   Palestine   (08.05.10)
This equation imposed by Hezbollah, if your soldiers were attacked in another place, Gaza, for example, we would see the muscles of the "IDF" ! My intention is to help you understand this reality.
5. #3 BUT THIS HAS BEEN TRIED
LAWRENCE RAP ARTISTE ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (08.05.10)
Before. Israel has in the past "bombed Beirut day and night" and this didn't solve anything. Israel should not waste its precious energy and resources and should pick its fights ,not respond knee jerk to anyone who breaks wind in our direction .This was a small skirmish ,unfortunate but nevertheless a SMALL skirmish .Furthermore it is history .Move on folks....nothing to see here.
6. Salma - you must be celebrating, no?
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (08.05.10)
We do have a choice, Salma. We had the choice 4 years ago when Hezbollah illegally attacked Israel, killed our soldiers and kidnapped and then murdered two other soldiers and fired missiles at our civilians. You seem to forget that we were not quiet back then. You also seem to not care that because of Hezbollah's war crimes, 1000 Lebanese were killed and thousands more injured. But you got a victory, right? Lebanon also has a choice. Yesterday they decided to add 3 more martyrs. I'm sure you are celebrating their deaths with candies and dancing and song, because 2 of these dead Lebanese decided to kill Israelis. The third Lebanese was invited to take pictures and report on the glorious happy event. Salma you have no other choice but to celebrate their wonderful martyrdom. These three are now in paradise enjoying lots of rampant sex with 216 virgins. We know you are happy. We are disgusted with Lebanon, for this unprovoked and stupid murder of an Israeli soldier. You will no doubt be saying that UNIFIL is lying because UNIFIL reported that the IDF did indeed coordinate in advance and the Israelis were not in Lebanese territory. But then, truth doesn't matter to you either.
7. #4 we have a choice
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (08.05.10)
Hezbolla, Hamas and Fatah defeat Israel only because Israeli leaders are incompetent, corrupt or both. Israel lost against Hamas because of Sharon. Israel lost in Lebanon II and Shalit because of Olmert, Livni and Peretz. Israel lost in Cast Lead and Marmara incident because of Barak and Netanyahu. All Netanyahu has to do to free Shalit is build Jewish neighborhoods in Judea and Samaria and stop negotiations with Abbas. All Netanyahu has to do to stop Hezbolla is declare Har Dov Israeli and destroy any armed units that shoot at Israel from Lebanon. If that doesn't work, attack Syrian interests in Lebanon.
8. When the Arabs want to trigger a war at
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (08.05.10)
their choosen timing, it would be a grave mistake to fall into their trap... Irans Lebanese allys have instigated this cold blooded murder only for the purpose of starting a war right now and to complicate the countdown for the takeout of their nuke sites...
9. Shimon, Poleg
WIZ ,   Canada   (08.05.10)
You are what is wrong with todays society....thank god and to your god as well that your government did not take your advice. Believe me Lebanon will not be the only one that suffers...Israel with their land mass as big as Toronto will also suffer

You are very funny. If Israel attacks then it's Evil. If it does not then people like you call it weak. Do you see the hypocrisy of your statements here? Or as usual like other neighbors of Israel you choose ignorance as a way to it? Now, you understand why it's better to be on offense instead of defense when it comes to ME? My intention here is to help you understand the real reality of your own ignorance and hate!!
