Next time send a bunch of settlers in the middle of the night, they know how uproot the trees and bushes and how to get away with it.
32. This is pre-meditated murder - deserves court suit
William ,   Israel   (08.05.10)
Time for Israel to sue the crap out of Lebanon for their admitted pre-meditated murder. The fact that they brought journalists to the area, and snipered a high-ranking official INSIDE Israel while ignoring those soldiers cutting down the trees show the depth of their complicity. For the sake of justice and the closure of Harari's widow, please make a huge example out of Lebanon and sue them!
33. #30 - you're welcome to cite incidents to support your claim

With only a bunch of settlers given a chance hisballah will be uprooted and sent packing to meet their virgins

Yeah, we've all seen the photos of the pruned olive trees. Since you are clearly not aware, olive trees must be regularly pruned back. Have you noticed, though, that it's always just branches on the ground in the photographs (as opposed to the actual trees)? No, you clearly do not know what to look for, and are anxious to believe the worst. Here's a news flash: the Palestinians are rather notorious for sabotaging their own crops -- even their own mosques! -- just to turn a non-event into a photo opportunity with global ramifications. They pruned their own trees (which you have to do to keep olive trees producing fruit) and then took pictures before clearing away the pruned branches. Old news; typical Palestinian perfidy. If you believe them and their photo ops, you're about as stupid as I have come to suspect. Oh well.

I understand Lebanon sustained pretty heavy casualties. They got a very, very small taste of the wrath that Israel can bring to bear. They paid for their stupidity with their lives. Israel basically swatted them the way you would swat an annoying gnat. Too bad about the journalist, though. Don't you just hate it when you throw a party and the invited guest gets himself killed?

Yes, and "split" is, of course, your name. By the way, the correct spelling is "anonymous." Are you really American? Is it just that you are illiterate?
39. Good talkbacks here so far...
NpPatienceForIdiots ,   Syosset, NY   (08.06.10)
...I view this Lebanese behavior with total disgust! A good person was senselessly lost, never mind that he was an officer. I almost want them to do something else stupid so that Israel can wipe the f'n floor with dead LDF and Hezbollah soldiers.
40. I"ll tell you something 34 dude
split ,   USA   (08.06.10)
Too bad that you didn't have those settlers among those 3.5 million Jews in Poland in1939 - Darn nazis or anybody else wouldn't dare to f..ck with you ,...
41. Israel needs to move this fence ONTO this "border" at once
Adamush ,   Israel   (08.06.10)
Or it won't be long until Arab-influenced UN cartographers make the assumption that the fence IS the border.
42. @#21: Exactly. Who cares now what really happened?

45. #30; Shlomo, REALLY? WHEN WAS THAT?
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (08.06.10)
Bold charges! Do you have any proof? Name any time or incident from credible sources to back up your claims. Were all anxiously waiting. Try the truth instead of unsubstantiated bluster. But then you would have nothing to talk about, would you?
46. #43 and borders
avi ,   haifa   (08.06.10)
israel did not and could not shift borders in jerusalem. since there is only an armistice agreement between jordan an israel and borders to be defined in a peace agreement how do you shift a nonexisting border between west jerusalem and former jordanian occupied east jerusalem or westbank. the international mandate border between the french mandate and the british mandate is a border and if far from the 67 line which is the armistice line between israel and syria 48. syria wants the 67 line to become a border ie, annex part of israel, no way! actually vast parts of the golan were given by the british mandate to the french mandate. the current line of 73 could be a border after recognizing 3 unsucessfull wars by syria from the golan against israel.
47. Israel no better...?
Victim ,   Beirut   (07.30.11)
This propaganda makes me sick, and it is pathetic to fight for a tree. But would not Israel have done the same? Imagine a Lebanese team trying to trespass the border to cut a tree that is obstructing their view. What do you think would happen? We've all seen Israel's "punishment" strategy.
