Neither Israel nor Yad Vashem, or any credible scholars dispute that millions of other people died as a result of Nazi actions. What makes the Holocaust unique is the fact that it was designed to systematically eliminate a specific people - the Jewish people by trying to solve 'The Jewish Question' by employing a 'Final Solution'. Millions died during WWII, but the overwhelming majority of people sent to death camps were Jews who experienced what has been called 'The Holocaust'. If stretching that definition to apply to other Nazi victims makes you feel better, that's fine. But it shouldn't detract from the severity of Nazi Germany's actions against Jews.

Counting only Jews in the Holocaust and creating a sympathy industry around it, in Jewish dominated Hollywood, is disinformation at best, propaganda at worst. I went to Dachau when I was in Munich. It was the first concentration camp and held mostly German political prisoners for the first several years. No doubt Jews, a minority, lost a large percentage of their total population, half, and were hit the hardest. But it is a disservice to the other victims, the non-Jews, not to be included in the next Holocaust film coming out of Hollywood.

True - many more were murdered at the hands of the Nazis. Jews do not dispute this nor disregard their deaths as insignificant.
