I posted that the plethora of candidates, that they nominate themselves, that it is discussed and hyped in the media, are all harmful to the people involved and to the institution itself. The offices of the Military Spokesman and the Defense Minister should put an immediate clamp on all concerned. This sort of thing would never happen in America or England. One comes and one goes and it is nobody's business to decide when and who except those few who are ordained to decide by virtue of the position they hold. It is certainly no concern of the media, publicists and PR organizations.
3. Very clever publicity stunt

Its just a wild theory but this forgery could have been produced by arad to promote their capabilities, services and prestige. They are after all PR company. perhaps its an attempt by one of their competitors to tarnish their name.
4. Why not keep Gabi Ashkenazi?
Jake ,   USA   (08.06.10)
Operation Cast Lead was a great victory for Israel against Hamas terrorism. Gabi should be at the helm when Hezbollah gets a Cast Lead of their own.
5. I don't trust Ehud Barak.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (08.07.10)
The last person I would want to pick the next Chief of Staff is Ehud Barak.

According to my opinion the whole affair of dicrediting gabi askenazi or another general is barak's idea. this way - divide et impera -he can continue to be glued to his ministerial chair. if he had any idea about how to make israel victorious he would run and give askenazi a second term,
7. good luck to all of you!!

This time completely ;)
8. #6 agree with you, this is Barak's style
Claudia ,   Tampa USA   (08.07.10)
Barak is a self absorbed idiot that care only for himself. How Israeli's put up with him is beyond me. He creates striff everywhere he goes, not to mention the debocal he created in Lebanon, (that Ashkenazi warned him would happen) plus selling out the South Lebonese Army & Christians. Yet he keeps turning up, like a BAD penny. Galant is probably a good candidate, and gets along with Barak, but this whole process is now tainted. We have Barak to thank for that. It should all be done behind the Kirya doors and now seems so unprofessional. But Barak couldn't get his headlines otherwise.
