An historic problem for jews has been a lack of nation state, homeland and self defense capabilities. As I have said many times, all israelis especially the haredi have to do some type of idf service, no excuses permitted unless medical and even then they will clean rifles for example. So now, all jews should be raised with idf or at least martial arts or boxing training to defend themselves. The days of beilin, ben ami, olmert and ramon and now even livni pacifism are over. Arabs to their credit are consistent. They do not want israel in the middle east and they do not even want them as shoe shiners in the state of palestine which would include Jordan(that will be the next conquest). They want to kill a lot of israelis, kick most of the rest out and keep a few shoe shiners to spit or laugh at. But no Burg, and haaretz know better. They want a shangrila arab israel state where love and trade predominate. This is dangerous dreaming and defeatism in its worst form. Israel right now is not bad. Leave it as is. Get the antimissile systems ready, install yaalon or vilnai as defense minister, pass the loyalty act and carry on much like the russians did at stalingrad. They had to drink their urine, things were so bad.Israelis, do what you have to do.

If Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, Arabs should be allowed to live in it because at least 25% of Israel is either Muslim or Christian and at least 20% is Arab with blue te'udot zehut just like any Israeli. Would you object to Jews living in London, Paris or Rome? For those who think leftists favour binational palestine, some do but most don't, as it stands at the moment. What all of them are furious about is Kach settlers in Sheikh Jarrah and other parts of East Jerusalem, protected by the police, the courts, the municipality and the government.
