1. COME, COME , COME ....PLEASE COME !
BENJAMIN   (08.07.10)
2. I honestly feel sorry for all the decent Turks out there
CJ   (08.07.10)
And there are many, many of them, still, Turkey as a whole is marching towards full Islamization with every passing day. Erdogan is weakening their army and opposition and drives Turkey down. They are fighting the horrible Kurdish terror on one hand but support the Palestinian terror on the other hand. Sadly, that's the price Israel has to pay for being too soft and without a solid stance while people spit in the Israeli faces again and again.
3. Travel advisory: One way of resisting
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (08.07.10)
the betrayal of our (former) friendship with the Turkish ally is never to visit the country under its current regime which is now allied with Iran.
4. ROBERT, AGREED :-)
BENJAMIN ,   SINGAPORE   (08.07.10)
5. How do you protect ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.07.10)
stupid individuals from themselves? Answer: You can't. OKay --- bring the flotilla vessels on. And when they are blown out of the water for having attempted to run a FULLY LEGAL and INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED blockade .... well -- start writing your apologies to the families. Those vessels WILL be blown out of the water, do you understand? This is not a game. If it's games you want, try Disneyworld. Idiots.
6. False bravado
M Carr ,   Baltimore   (08.07.10)
The threat by IHH to involve their ships in future flotillas may be nothing more than false bravado. The flotilla movement has only succeeded in humiliating their supporters by being exposed as dangerous PR stunts and their failure to defeat the naval blockade. I predict the findings of the upcoming UN flotilla probe will put a damper on further efforts to violate the naval blockade. But then again, we are dealing with fanatics here.
7. flotilla investigation and marmora
alexi   (08.07.10)
Barak will likely resign as defense minister when it comes out that paintball guns were his ideas. His pacifism knows no bounds. While he is apparently good at commando tactics, he is a poor leader. Would you fight for him? No. Would you fight for ollmert? Absolutely not. Would you fight for sharon and dayan? Yes and yes. No, I would not fight under barak but I would under yaalon and ashkenazi. Ben eliezer is trying to hold onto turkey by releasing the marmora but it will hit israel in the face again as they will use it to test the blockade.Erdogan is married to an extremist arabic wife who has a permanent beef with israel. Nothing will change her. If hitler were alive today, would israel go him and dispatch him.Ahamdinejad is alive. What are you waiting for?
8. The ships will return.......
Atheist Turk ,   Germany   (08.07.10)
.......and I bet you it will be before September 12. Ersogan will try to use another incident with Israel to stay in power. Why did you Israelis send the ships before the elections in September? Toda raba! I ask myself how a NGO, like the unimportant IHH can cause trouble between 2 countries.
9. WHY NOT?!! AHLAN WA SAHALAN :)
Salma ,   Palestine   (08.07.10)
10. Target practice
LIPPY ,   Proud Israeli   (08.07.10)
I recently suggested in a talkback that the IDF utilise the Turkish boats for target practice. It would seem that the Turks are serious in co-operating with us, and I hope that we take full advantage of their co-operation.
11. TO THE MARMARA
LAWRENCE RAP ARTISTE ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (08.07.10)
Please quit while you are ahead.
12. If they come back disable the ship don't risk soldiers lives
zionist forever   (08.07.10)
Wait till they get into Israeli territorial waters then disable the thing then let them sit there unable to go forward or backwards or agree to be towed to Ashdod where Israel will search the stuff and deliver it overland. We can then claim the ship illegally entered Israeli territorial waters and the military was entitled to stop the ship If they decide they want to board the ship rather than disable it then send troops armed with riot gear kit ( tear gas, rubber bullets, smoke grenades ) That way control is taken of the ship no casualties .. just leave the paintball guns for the people who want to go paintballing.
13. The end is fast approaching
Thomas ,   Dixieland USA   (08.07.10)
As we are non-citizens of Israel we have no moral right to admonish or lecture the current government. We nevertheless can have an objective analysis on the future of the Jewish state from afar and the conclusion is that Israel will disappear and soon. 1. The border conflict with Lebanon showed that the IDF is unprepared to deal with even simple task like working on the border. (Walking to an ambush). 2. The Marmara incident and its aftermath proved that Israel cannot tackle the aggression of PRIVATE Armies led by Admiral Greta Berlin, 70 years old American Jewess and her Turkish Armada. 3. Israel is unable to stand up to the 5th. column, financed by the EU. To learn more visit Haaretz. 3. The American Jewry 78% support Anti-Israeli groups, Jstreet, Obamao, and radical Islam. Ask Bloomberg about the Mosque at the site were the towers fell. So all the bravado blabbered by Israeli leaders and heroic keyboard-warriors elicit a loud yawn. Follow A. Burg suggestion and get a foreign passport. He said, not me.
14. marmara
avi ,   haifa   (08.07.10)
next time we kow that the ship is packed with gung ho IHH fanatics ready for everything. the navy will be ready. again we ave to haul your useless junk to gaza by truck.personally I think al these hooligans should be sent to gaza as guests of hamas.
15. Let no Good Deed Go Unpunished!
Ellen ,   Israel/USA   (08.07.10)
16. Marmara
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL/USA   (08.07.10)
As a condtion for the ships release, Turkey had promised it wouldn't go to Gaza again If, the ship does show up a 2nd time, capture it and keep it as war booty, then sink it, converting to good use as a barrier reef, great for skindiving and sheltering fish A bit of coral on the sunken hulk would spruce up the view quite a bit This time, insteaad of Paintball guns, the IDF should have real ones instead of toys
17. Sarah B
flyingdoc57 ,   Florida, U.S.A.   (08.07.10)
Sarah why do you go out of your way to insult people? If you were a bit nicer I think more people would like you and not treat you with such contempt. Maybe it is something you can work on. Just a friendly suggestion.
18. Mine the waters!
Yaniv ,   Israel   (08.07.10)
19. Next time don't give them back
Matt1234 ,   USA   (08.07.10)
If they send them again keep them, Don't send them back. Personally think you should not have gave them back this time.
20. Thomas @13 Wishful thinking
M Carr ,   Baltimore   (08.07.10)
Hey! Dixieland Thomas--I wouldn’t get my hopes up! 1. The border incident was a criminal bushwhack rather than a military ambush. 2. The Mavi Marmara incident proved the Muslim/left to be incompetent, and irresponsible for putting the lives of well meaning activist at risk for a PR stunt. And the last time I checked every flotilla effort has thus far failed. 3. Stand up to what? Has there been a recent uprising in Israel that I haven’t heard about? 4. Due to Obama’s amateurish mistakes, the American Jewish support that helped put him into office is gradually falling away. Me thinks you pulled that 78% figure out of thin air. This keyboard warrior is just callin’ it like I see it…
21. #13
Omri ,   Israel   (08.07.10)
1. What i understand is that the kill/death was 5/1 and yet you think IDF did horrable there? Notice it wasnt walkign into an ambush it was a sniper ambush, as in snipers had preperd for the officers to get somewhere and had the guns already aimed at that place. Yet IDF stil had a 5/1 even considering it was a lebanon surprise attack. 2. Marmara showed nothing, it was not a military attack, if it was dont you think a torpido would have been shot? Or atlist some big navy shell? It was more police work what happened there then real war. Its just funny to hear you think it as a battle against a small warship. 3. Boy do you know economy, israel is like almost every other small country, using outside economical help because a country so small cant make everything for itself. And its not "cherity" like you seem to think but rather its all investments, weither its in politics or in military or in economy. 4. (you typed 3. twice) maybe thats because american jews that support israel just come here to israel? Look at other countrys, for example: 56% of the russians support israel. If you think israel's army is a failier then please do look at the past wars and say that again. God i wish i could see the look on you're face when you do that.
22. This time..
John ,   Herzliya, Israel   (08.07.10)
you should also add a lot of water on Marmara, for the new Gaza swimming pool.
23. To: No. 10
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.07.10)
Even the second time around your “suggestion” is neither humorous nor helpful. Using ships as target practice has never made any country co-operate with us and never will. May I humbly suggest that you refrain from posting anymore idiotic suggestions?
24. #20 and 21 Reply to you
Thomas ,   Dixieland USA   (08.08.10)
Please think rationally. 1. A competent army is prepared to face any potential threat and ought to make steps to avoid being entrapped. The kill ratio is inconsequential in this regard. Paint-ball armaments for maritime war is for children's play. It reveals the immature mindset of the leaders. No army in the world uses toy guns. 2.The Maramara II. now is in the works, and Israel is "investigating" herself as potential guilty party: the deterrence is not working and the debasing of Israel is a success. 3.Leftist groups like Gush Shalom, New Israel Fund, and an array of University profs like Steinhell and Neve Gordon, etc. openly incite against your country and accept EU money to do so. It's called as "internal rot". 3.The overwhelming, 78% support of the Marxist-Islamist Obama is statistical fact and it's incontestable: the result of last election is open to all to see. 4. When the majority of Americans oppose the construction of a Mosque near the site of the fallen towers, Mayor Bloomberg stand by the Muslims, so does Jstreet and their adulation of Obama has not diminished. There is no criticism of Obama by mainstream Jewish organization and media. None.
25. #5 - Isn't that the Democratic motto?
William ,   Israel   (08.08.10)
"protecting you from yourselves"
26. #8 - Besides the election, what else significant about date?
William ,   Israel   (08.08.10)
September 11th is just before.
27. #21 - Omri - he was referring to EU-funded NGOs
William ,   Israel   (08.08.10)
which cause trouble in Israel and use the Arab 5th column to de-stabilize Israel internally. ACRI, B'tselem, Peace Now, and others get a huge chunk of cash from EU countries and do nothing more than stir un-rest in Israel and create a false sense of sectarian divide. It's how Leftists permeate in this world...from revolution to revolution.
28. Turkish govt promised, so try your luck IHH
William ,   Israel   (08.08.10)
Once that ship embarks to break the legal blockade, it will be the Turkish govt that will have to answer. Erdogan is right now trying to plae blame on Israel without having his cabinet found out in their complicity of this intl crime. Try it again, if you wish. We have another 1000 bullets for the hull.
29. sink
alan ,   texas   (08.08.10)
sink the ships with all aboard.
30. Re: No. 23
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.08.10)
Not my post. I know how to spell "any more." May I humbly suggest that the poster contribute thoughts using his or her own name?
