simple things ? that many , if not most , of those children were NOT religious at all . But the parents wanted their children in a Jewish school , to know Jewish boys and girls , this to avoid as much as possible outmarriage . And it lucked in most cases , with a low outmarriage % . I have seen stats somewhere , outmarriage in my birth town , around , or less than 5 % . I personally knew only two cases , one who went to my school; , the second not . Many also made Alyah , we were around 500 people at a "bogrim" reunion some years ago .
