1. investigate
colin   (08.08.10)
The cowardly groveling BACKSTABBING wimp barak wil not order a investigation of the fraud and falsehoods surrounded by lies for Galant as he BARAK is the culpert. Barak started the rumour to assist his favourite. Barak has proved in the past how he is a backstabbing rat(against the Foreign minister) Get rid of this pest and treasonable swine of Israel
2. Does public opinion matters?
Sharona ,   Ash & IL   (08.08.10)
In all the papers opinion poll, neighbours and friends are talking about this matter and praising Ashkenazi. No one ever spoke in favour of Barak and almost everyone dislikes him. In public transport bus also we talked about it and everyone opposes Barak and do not want that Ashkenaze should be replaced. We are voting our leaders and they are there to demonstrate and act upon public opinion. Then why this Barak is still in the office? Why Ashkenaze's term is not extended? Does our opinion matters? Or our leaders are doing whatever they want to boost their own ego and politics? Israel is going through a very difficult time, we need unity here and we need leaders that we trust. We trust Ashkenaze and not Barak. God help us otherwise one day this Barak will be the reason for Israel's demise.....

6. to fit the bill
Michael ,   Haifa   (08.08.10)
A couple of years ago, the French ambassador to the UK was overheard saying that Israel is a "shitty little country", and, as always, we self-righteously knee-jerked our response "Antisemite !!!". Maybe he was an antisemite, but that is not important. What is important is that our leaders are working overtime to justify his characterisation of us
7. Colin @ # 1
Moragh   (08.08.10)
I wholeheartedly agree with Colin @ #1. And it would NOT surprise me in the least if that slimey little Barak was behind the whole thing. What a slimeball!!!
8. This is not the time to change IDF Chiefs. Messianic Rabbi
Rivkah   (08.08.10)
Michael Rood believes this is the year of wars in the Middle East such as the Isaiah 17:1 destruction of Damascus which means an attack on Israel before that. He also believes this is the year of the Ezekiel chapter 32 attack on the military of a young lion nation and its leader which is likely US forces in Iraq. The dates given in Ezekiel chapter 32 are Elul 1 and Elul 15 if Ezekiel used the Babylonian Jewish calendar and Adar 1 and Adar 15 if the Moses calendar was used. The Prophets in the Bible used either calendar and events that come to pass confirm which calendar each Prophet used. Ezekiel refers to the 1st and 15th day of the 12th month. If it is Elul 1 and 15 in 2010, that is August 11 and August 25, give or take a day or two for the attack on US forces in Iraq if that is in 2010.
9. Something is very fishy
David ,   USA /ISRAEL /EGYPT   (08.08.10)
Bibi is suppose to be the prime Minister, but Barak keeps running the show, He is the defense Minister, The Foreign Minister, and sometimes acts like the Prime Minister. Bibi keeps taking the back seat. It looks very fishy to me and extremely humiliating for Bibi
10. The army's image
Ariel Ben Yochanan ,   Kfar Tapuah, Efraim,   (08.08.10)
B"H - The army's image has been hurt and is hurt when it lets itself be used against Jews in Gaza, in Judea, in Samaria, on the beach of Tel Aviv or anywhere else.
11. #9 Bibi has a Damocles sword over his head
aviG   (08.08.10)
because he knows everything but he, inside, is a good man and he won't do what he's asked to do, so the proeminence of Barak who doesn't care of his soul and follow the orders.
12. It Was All About Barak...
iObserver and News ,   US-Israel   (08.09.10)
Whatever the aim was here: Barak is at the center of the isse. He favored Galant as it is and was clearly looking to bolster his own position. So whoever did it was behind or against Baraks positioning scam. In the end, Barak will be weakened and so will his party. Israel is heading towards the conservative vein as they should: confrontations are looming on all fronts for the first time in decades. The Iranian-turkey-Syria-Hamas-Hezbollah alliance is the greatest threat to Israel since the '48 war. Conservatives are best suited during dangerous times since they don't dance the PC dance: they call a spade a spade and take care of business. Baraks party along with Livni are incompetent in this area as we still feel from the le a on withdrawal and gaza "disengagement". Time for Israel to be tough and dumpy the libtards. Either way, Barak will suffer the needed blows to shatter labor and the libs once and for all. Israel needs to become a conservative republic where peoples rgights are transparently revealed, governed by a document rather than an emotional bunch of children and every single Israeli citizen knows exactly where they stand. The whole galant thing underscores the need for a strong constitution that emulates the US' and several (3-4) "States" to be formed within the Nation. Now is the time for Israel to move from democrazy to republic before it's too late. A truly free JEWISH REPUBLIC where the nation is defined by it's heritage and not some loud mouthed loonies who want to destroy the already weak democazy of the State of Israel. Never understood Israels desire to emulate the failed European political systems. We've washed the communism bacteria out of our blood. A tru free republic is the most sophisticated political plathform in the world. 4 branches of gov't: two forms (state & federal) a CIC in the executive branch with the Supreme Court defending the constitution without interference from ANY other branch. Clear, pristine: everyone know where they stand and no one can get away with Jack for very long. Barak will suffer, galant Cannot be appointed (period) and the whole process must be temporarily put on hold for a cooling off period.
