In the U.S., free speech and free press are valued and codified into the constitution. Other nations, like us, also assert this value. There is one glaring exception, speech and writing that are active incitement to violence and murder. I am greatly relieved that the Israeli govt. doesn't cower in fear of criminals who wear clergy titles and hide, fraudulently behind some holy text. Kudos to the government for emphasizing civil behavior and responsibility to our fellow man & woman over primitive, atavistic and violent impulses that draw their inspiration from ancient documents no longer appropriate to modern peoples. It is good to see Israel value the respect of the world's peoples and nations and to choose to not be a rogue state that "dwells alone", in a primitive and tribal manner.
