I don't understand why the US wanted to support them from the get go, I guess they figured maybe Lebanon will change, however with Hizzbollah in their Government and behind the scenes all the time, I doubt any good changes will occur anytime soon. The situation is very clear. Hizzbollah is the life-line that connects Syria and Iran to Lebanon. That in turn allows them to "come in contact" with Israel at the border and also prepare for the next conflict.

Again, aerial photo's and UNIFIL both proved that to false as well. Still Arab media continues to refer to this border skirmish as an "Israeli Aggression". Unable to tell the truth and knowing if you keep repeating the same lie, some people will believe it. That is their goal, keep the lie, alive. Remember in their countries the media is state controlled, so many think Israel was the aggressor. Sadly, little can trusted from these sources, and calls into question if they (Israel's enemies) can ever be trusted to honor any agreements. They can;t be trusted to even tell the truth to their own people. Why? Why are they afraid to let their own populations know the truth? Why do they feel their own people must be treated like children? Are they afraid to let their people make up their minds based on the facts? Again, why would that be? I saw an interesting program about the Middle East yesterday. Part of the program was about men holding hands in Syria. They claim that it is not homosexual, but watching how these Syrian men were acting as they walked would lead the average person to the conclusion that it appeared very "gay', not that there is anything wrong with being gay.
