4. US Support
Peleg ,   San Ramo   (08.11.10)
I don't understand why the US wanted to support them from the get go, I guess they figured maybe Lebanon will change, however with Hizzbollah in their Government and behind the scenes all the time, I doubt any good changes will occur anytime soon. The situation is very clear. Hizzbollah is the life-line that connects Syria and Iran to Lebanon. That in turn allows them to "come in contact" with Israel at the border and also prepare for the next conflict.
5. Much better
John L ,   USA   (08.11.10)
It is much better when the arab shows his true face.Lebanon has been at war(defacto) with israel since 1982.Has Israel forgotten this fact????
6. Assad Darling, if you don't understand....
i'm telling you that you could be on the black list. so if you wish to enjoy the light of the sun shinshine every day, just watch yourself.
7. Thank you for speaking out the word
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (08.11.10)
AXIS OF EVIL... North Korea - Iran - Syria - Lebanon, is really an Axis of Evil and nobody should be afraid or too intimidated to speak out this word of truth... W. used this word at his time and he was right... THE TIME WILL COME, WHEN THIS AXIS WILL BE BROKEN... Only then, peace will become possible,,,
8. it's funny how they twist the word
eyal ,   idf (ready)   (08.11.10)
"defensive" with "agression" :-)
10. Salma, don't you get it? You are their crutch
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (08.12.10)
These guys don't care about you, Salma. They never have. The best people to take care of the Palestinian's problems guessed it, THE PALESTINIANS! But you people are all talk talk talk whine whine whine cry cry cry. You should learn the word "tachlis". Come to the negotiating table and talk tachlis, and not whine whine whine.
11. They shouldn't plan too far in the future
BH ,   Iowa   (08.12.10)

12. #2 Salma
Iranian Jew ,   LA   (08.12.10)
And there will be for another 62 years. Maybe by then you will realize that you have to leave with Jews in peace. These people do not care for you or Pal's.
13. Response to # 7
MKL ,   USA   (08.12.10)
Now that you mention axis of evil, it makes me think, who are trying to change laws and times in these days? Dan 7:25 And he shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High: and he shall think to change the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and half a time.
14. Cooperation on Iraq?
Kevin Minailo ,   Toronto, Canada   (08.12.10)
Assad is a shrewd double-talker. He cooperates with Iran over Israel but quietly lets all the Sunni jihadis into Iraq through his borders. They car-bomb and shoot-up the Iranian backed Shiites in Iraq.
15. They continue with subliminal message, clever move
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (08.12.10)
Notice how the Arab media continues to use the term " Israel's "aggression". Now we know Lebanon started the skirmish and got caught in two lies. 1) that Israel fired first (proven false and later admitted to by the Lebanese leaders) 2) To justify the first lie, that had to be retracted, came a SECOND lie; Israel had crossed into Lebanese territory. Again, aerial photo's and UNIFIL both proved that to false as well. Still Arab media continues to refer to this border skirmish as an "Israeli Aggression". Unable to tell the truth and knowing if you keep repeating the same lie, some people will believe it. That is their goal, keep the lie, alive. Remember in their countries the media is state controlled, so many think Israel was the aggressor. Sadly, little can trusted from these sources, and calls into question if they (Israel's enemies) can ever be trusted to honor any agreements. They can;t be trusted to even tell the truth to their own people. Why? Why are they afraid to let their own populations know the truth? Why do they feel their own people must be treated like children? Are they afraid to let their people make up their minds based on the facts? Again, why would that be? Why would the truth be such a threat to the leaders of the Arab/Muslim countries?
16. baby assad is a sharp dresser. syrians could dress that way
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (08.12.10)
too if they didn't make two dollars a day because he is so incompetent.
19. oh the massive paranoia they r beiginning
ghostq   (08.12.10)
to believe it probably hear voices in their head, but as karmah goes they can turn each othe renemies over night due to mutal back stabing, just wait and see, people who call for agretion against others always get boomerang with triple turns.
20. #16 Mottaki tries to be a sharp dresser too
Cynthia ,   USA   (08.12.10)
But he can't wear a tie. Ahmadinejad tried to get approval to wear a tie but he didn't have the power to pass this dress code legislation.
21. Salma - Your views never cease to amaze
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (08.12.10)
You seem cursed to cling to the past - 1948 and all that.. No sense of where and how Palestinians can move on to a future of a State just your predictable whining about past ijustices and a fight to the end... So young Palestinians can never experience the real freedom of Statehood and young Palstinians can die in the name of Salmas fantasies Use your obvious qualities of communication to do what thousands of Palestinians are already doing - trying to forge links, build bridges and support Abbas in his efforts to bring Statehood and self determination
22. Assad and Ah MAD inejad sitting on a tree...
Mr Green ,   Manchester   (08.12.10)
What is so amusing is Assad seemingly oblivious to his manipulation by Ah MAD inejad, Erdogan and Nasrallah Amusingly he thinks hes playing the ultimate game of playing off one against the other and against the US and EU History shows that he probably has bitten off more than he can chew! But in some ways thats their idea of politics. NEVER say what you mean or mean what you say. Dont they all deserve each other! And how does one reconcile the well documented hatred in RG quarters for Assad and Baathism with the laughs and smiles in public? And what about Nasrallahs well documented hatred of Assad? Lies, treachery, corruption ....Quite honestly I couldnt care less about Lebanon and Syria But Iran deserves better....
23. #13, Thanks for the interesting site...
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (08.12.10)
24. Sexually repressed?
Hal ,   Usa   (08.12.10)
I saw an interesting program about the Middle East yesterday. Part of the program was about men holding hands in Syria. They claim that it is not homosexual, but watching how these Syrian men were acting as they walked would lead the average person to the conclusion that it appeared very "gay', not that there is anything wrong with being gay. Therein lies the question of sexual repression in the Muslim world and the fallout from it. Asshead and Monkeyman don't paint a pretty picture, but they say "love is blind".
