When are the idiots who think they are so clever going to stop posting stuff on Facebook that is obvious shouldn't be made public? I remember not to long ago some idiot put on Facebook how he was going to be involved in an up and coming combat operation. The idiot plastered it all over the internet before the thing happened. Now another idiot puts pictures of him abusing palestinians on his Facebook page because he thinks its clever. I think that in this age of things like social networking the IDF & other armies worldwide I think its just as important to teach them about the use of things like Facebook and what they should or should not post same way as they would be taught how to handle a gun responsibly. Only yesterday I heard how the Taliban now use Facebook read what soldiers say see if there is any useful information they can gain from there. Facebook seems like harmless fun but we need to remember the bad guys read it as well and will make use of anything they find on there.

I dont think there was any malice involved she just did something stupid. We have all done stupid things which we just don't think about at the time. I remember myself one time I was working at a checkpoint and some pro settler group or whatever they were came and handed out drinks to the soldiers. I picked up a flag and went up and down the line of palestinians cuing up in the hot sun showing them all my can of coke I had just been given and waving the flag. I always tried to act responsibly during my time in the army and meant no real harm then but just sometimes you just dont think properly and do stupid things I am not proud of what I did but at the same time I don't see myself as somebody who is not professional. That is really not a very provocative photo at all. Prisoners get blindfolded. That doesn't equal humiliation or torture and she doesn't seem to be making any rude gestures either.
