but some of our soldiers like Eden are just plain pollyanna stupid! To all of the negative critics have a good look at those photos and then compare them to photos of USA Army soldiers abusing prisoners in Afghanistan and Gitmo (USA Guantanamo Base). Eden is guilty of pollyanna stupidity but not of cruelty or violation of the human rights of the IDF's charges! So to TBers such as Cameron #8 from the USA stand down because your stupid is showing!

The photos posted only tell part of the story, she needs to post ones that back up her claim that she took care of the prisoners. Don't show her with them, show her taking care of them. That would have made her a hero, now she is a target.

Why were the prisoners there like that? it brings up more questions about the prisoners than what she meant to show in the picture like that. Either way, their both disturbing.

How often have we seen newspaper photos and televised clips of IDF soldiers apprehending Palestinians for questioning and arrest! All of them - and there can be many - are shown blindfolded, standing in a line, with their wrists in those plastic strip-locks. Those photos show nothing we haven't seen many times before. And there is absolutely nothing inhuman or malicious about those photos. The uproar, which admittedly has some legitimacy, is that this girl unthinkingly presented these photos in a popular social dimension and not in the context of a news item. Apart from this blind spot in her thinking what are we seeing for the first time? What secret is she exposing? Nothing. What is certain is that all those her age who found a way to avoid army service wouldn't have been where she was serving when the photos were taken.

These photos remind me of photos game hunters took of themselves standing proudly beside the game they bagged. Eden’s photos are no different; she poses with pride beside her ‘trophies’, she then went on to publish these photos worldwide (via Facebook) to show off her achievement. In the third Geneva Convention (article 3) it states: “In the case of armed conflict not of an international character occurring in the territory of one of the High Contracting Parties, each Party to the conflict shall be bound to apply, as a minimum, the following provisions: [...] (c) outrages upon personal dignity, in particular humiliating and degrading treatment;” Clearly Eden has humiliated and degraded these Palestinian civilians by treating them as ‘war trophies’. I hope the PA proceed with their legal case, hopefully such a case will deter other IDF soldiers from treating Palestinians in such a degrading manner.

Look at any military in the world and you'll see soldiers alongside prisoners.What's the matter Obama calling the shots in Israel or maybe the other idiot Cameron.I bet many of Israeli families would love to see photos of relatives taken by the terrorists.

Why would she even want to take such a photo - let alone post it on Facebook? The IDF hasn't taken enough diss from the world without this silly cow igniting more? And now she whines that the IDF let her down!

These are just pictures. The enemy detainees weren't mistreated. We owe no respect to the enemy, so nothing wrong with taking a picture of the enemy being detained.

If someone came on your property and handcuffed and blindfolded you, would you actually interpret photos of such an event as proof that they treated you nicely? She did not serve in the intelligence or any prestigious unit. Like every other retard in this country she ended up with a crappy job in prison. There are many such idiots in Israel (like in other countries, BTW), and the army gives them an opportunity to be in the position of power - and they use this opportunity to the maximum (some Middle Eastern mentality). She won't get smarter. The only solution is to improve secondary schools. Nonetheless, Arabs should better shut up because there is no torture or humiliation in the pictures, whereas in their "culture" those are part of everyday life.

When she put those pictures, Eden didn't know that she could be threatened the way she has been. That was not a provocation, that was just to show her while she was serving her country. I believe her, not because we live in the same city, but I'm sure that she had no intention to hurt anyone. But Israel is not the country that is proud of its army anymore, Tsahal said that Eden was wrong, the problem is that they are against the fact that she put those pics on FB, the most famous site where people say, do and show the worst things without shame! so what? Tsahal saw her and the person who did those pictures and never banned her before that incident. That's why I think that she's an innocent victime of the system. Israel wants the World to see them like models even if they are cursed and banned by all the countries of the World. So they found Eden to condemn for the bad image they have in the World. In fact, I'm shocked to not see Israel medias and army back her. They sold their soul to obama and the nations that dislike them. Too bad. I just hope that Eden will get through that period safely. She doesn't deserve all the threats and bad things she heard about herself.

Poor girl! I believe the issue is taken completely out of proportion by the reporters! If you are looking for the escape goat please find it in another place! In terms of identifying the Palestinians: if only those two pictures (which appear in Ynet) are taken, there's no way to identify them. Their faces are as closed as the the face of the Eden (by the editorial effort to hide her identity in yesterday's article. Here her face is 100% closed)

I think it's a bit too much made out of it. She is only 21 or 22 years old so relax a bit. Her action was not very adequate – but in the end it was only the behaviour of a youngster...
