1. shows that israel's enemies are genocidal maniacs
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (08.18.10)
the qualitative difference why israel is better than everyone else in the middle east: you won't see israel's enemies building such things to protect against mass genocide at the hand of israel (though maybe from other genocidal entities).
2. Career opportunity, building bomb shelters
Robert ,   Brisbane, Australia   (08.18.10)
You'd better get those bomb shelters finished before you attack Iran because you're going to need them.
3. No 2 The young lad
Bri ,   Asia   (08.18.10)
. Hey Bob, feeling smug are we? Suppose you think war is a big giggle? Maybe your experience of conflict is limited to your comics or what you see in the cartoons. Once you are old enough to vote, you may find that many of your attitudes change. In the mean time, focus on your homework and try not to get into too much trouble with your teachers. Bless
4. Better to be safe then sorry. (End)
Jerry ,   Jericho, NY   (08.18.10)
5. #2 Don't worry, Iran will not and cannot attack
Israel ,   Yaniv   (08.18.10)
Iran would never dear to attack Israel directly, they will only command Hezbollah to fire at the North like they did before, nothing new.
6. #2 No free lunch.
Janice Cohen ,   ירושלים   (08.18.10)
Destroying your enemies has a pricetag. They're shot dead through the heart and you have a broken leg. Whatta you gonna do? Stuff happens.
7. our choice
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (08.18.10)
We can choose to cower in these filthy parking-lots, packed like sardines, while rockets fall outside, praying that no direct hit will penetrate the "shelter". Or we can choose to be safe from danger and breath the fresh air of our homeland in Judea and Samaria. It seems Israeli leaders prefer the former scenario, familiar to Diaspora Jews in Europe and the Arab countries.
8. Save the selected thousands but what about the rest ?
WikiMiki   (08.18.10)
9. Imagine the chaos of people trying to get there
Talula ,   Israel   (08.18.10)
I think it could possibily result in more deaths than an actual chemical attack.
10. #3 Ever consider a career in comedy?
Joey Rose ,   Portland   (08.18.10)

15. Chemical & Biological Bomb Shelters
John ,   Australia   (08.18.10)
This business of expending vast amounts of wealth on protective infrastructure to protect a small percentage of the nation's population will prove to be ineffective and basically dumb. Why wont you people refer back to the works of your forefathers and see how they effectively countered the measures of their enemies. They fell on their faces and repented of their 'dead' works before the one and only G_D. He saved them every time without fail. It seems to me you truely are 'a stubborn and stiff necked people'. BTW I'm on your side - and pray for Israel, for your personal and national survival. History will record the fruit of my and others intercession - PTL.
16. Considering the inclination of Israeli leaders, good idea!
adam eliyahu   (08.18.10)
Barak as minister of defense? He has special boots with soles that allow him to run backwards especially fast. Build massive underground shelters now. Peres? Give him another French Legion of honor or Nobel prize and he'll sell them Tel Aviv. Netanyahu? Ambidextrious, can't tell his right from his left. With friends like these, we don't need enemies.
17. Civil & missile defense allows offence
Andrew Hamilton ,   Jerusalem   (08.18.10)
If your citizens are protected by a missile shield and shelters you can attack those who would destroy you rather than wimping out like Europeans. Note to Aussies: if Australia had shelters then maybe fewer would have died in bush fires.
18. Hypocrites
Chris   (08.18.10)
Israel's enemies complain whenever Israel accidentally kills innocent women and children, and yet most of Israel's enemies would gladly use chemical weapons against Israel's innocents in a war.
19. Shelters?
(08.18.10)
20. why dont city maps show where public shelters are
zionist forever   (08.18.10)
How about forcing municipalities to list positions of public bomb shelters on street maps that way people will easily be able to find their nearest public shelter. They also need to reintroduce old legislation which obliged all buildings to be built with a public shelter. Instead these days modern apartment blocks are built with secure rooms instead of a bomb shelter. If an Iranian missile landed hit an apartment building a secure room would protect nobody because the building would probably colapse. If a missile hits the building but it has an underground communal bomb shelter rather than an individuals secure room then you have a chance at survival. Now more than ever Israel is under threat from bombs and missiles and we need proper bomb shelters not secure rooms. Current legislation doesn't protect from current threats.
21. Idont like to live in this fear
yousef ,   hebron   (08.19.10)
This life is worthless i hate this life of fear and shelters
22. Robert Australia
PAL   (08.19.10)
I am not worried, I have 60,000 to 80,000 Kurds to conduct search and destroy missions for Shahab-3 BM sites.
23. Israels Underground Shelters
Susan C. ,   Jamestown, NY   (08.19.10)
Yousef, Be not afraid of those who can maim the body, they CANNOT touch your soul. Israel is Gods chosen. Psalm 37:7..."do not fret when men succeed in their ways, :10" A little while, and the wicked will be no more." Keep Praying to The GOD of Israel and He will comfort you in these perilous times!! Many here in the US are still praying for you!!! GOD BLESS!!!
