So they can give it to Iran. LOL
2. We should not help Turkey occupy Kurdistan
Sami ,   New York, USA   (08.28.10)
We should not help Turkey occupy Kurdistan.
3. sale
snail tail ,   EU   (08.28.10)
I wouldn't like having to use this (very) old turkish military equipment either when trying to hunt down kurds, zionist detection-devices and drones sound more user-friendly than decades-old equipment. The army allegedly kill them with chemical weapons on occassion, just like Saddam did. Cannot really figure out, why this sale should be authorized, but you never know, maybe they'll sell for the sake of appeasement or so, because appeasement has always worked so far...
4. DO NOT SELL TURKEY ANYTHING MILITARY!
Tayfun_Turkey ,   Istanbul   (08.28.10)
5. Please sell the radars by all means!
Dan the Jafa ,   Auckland,Aotearoa   (08.28.10)
Pretty sure it will not be too difficult to manufacture a bunch of transponders which will make the radars see everything except for Kurdish freedom fighters.
6. Do the Turks need this radar so that they can mass murder
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (08.28.10)
more Kurds? Have they already apologized to the rest to the Kurdish people for having mass murdered hundreds of thousands of them? Have they ask for forgiveness of the Armenian people for the genocide of 1.5 million of them? And what have they said and done with regard to the Greek Cypriots whose country they invaded and whose people they expelled from a third of the island state? And don't we, Jews, are still awaiting for an apology about the Struma and he sinking of the ship of Jewish refugees from Nazi Europe - 697 men women and children - in the Black Sea? And frankly, Turkey should now apologize to Israel for having attempted to break a lawful blockade on Gaza and the use of paid Islamist thugs to do so!!!
7. Turkey wants our radar system?
Vicky ,   Ashkelon Israel   (08.28.10)
On ya bike matey, You would only pass it on to your Buddy Iran.
8. On Sale
Jacob Erickson ,   Holon, Israel   (08.28.10)
As long as it is authorized by both governments, why not make the deal a public thing and invite the press to the delivery when the systems arrive in Turkey?
9. Millitary Equipment to Turky
Noel ,   Perth Australia   (08.28.10)
All Israeli high tech Sales should be banned completely until Turkey stops showing TV programs of incitement of hatred to Jews! Get real! think think of our future ? not just the $$$$. Besides it will only be sent o their mates in Iran to dissimulate, and end up using against us? sell em Gefilte fish instead?!?

George ,   Antwerp   (08.28.10)
to Turkey untill Erdogan has been replaced by a pro Israel PM.
13. SELL IT but...
Omri ,   Israel   (08.28.10)
What until the Turkish elections supplying Erdogan again will be stupid.
14. :: #6 - Speaking of apologizing...
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (08.28.10)
...shouldn’t the Israeli Government apologize to the Kurdish People for selling Turkey military arms and equipment that Israel knew Turkey would use in its oppression and killing of Kurdish people?
15. hmmm... of course Israel will sell it
kuhl blitz ,   Doha / Chennai   (08.28.10)
Money or ethical values....---- wait, whom i m asking to?
16. I hope buisness isn't evrything
Dr.Meyer ,   Germany   (08.28.10)
Is Erdogan so friendly to Israel ? What about the anti- Israeli films in Turkey? What about the Flotilla provocation. It was not possible without at least the knowledge of Erdogan.Turks are very nice people but it is better to wait until the present governement is away and we see afterwars, what to do. Last, but not least, Turkey has masacred more than 40000 Kurds. The Kurds do not want to destoy Turkey, as the Hamas Israel. They want only some more acknowledgment and more rights.
17. Do not sell to turkey under any cirumstances. free kurdistan
Faruq   (08.28.10)
turks have revealed themselves as what they are. enemies of israel

Salma ,   Palestine   (08.28.10)
"Israel" laugh at both sides !
21. Beware
Max ,   Washington DC   (08.28.10)
The Free World including Israel should consider carefully the consequences of sellng any advanced military hardware to Turkey as it could easily be given to Iran, Syria, Hezbollah and Hamas, while Erdogan is in power. Why arm those that are trying to destroy you?
22. NO selling to Turkey
Brod ,   USA   (08.28.10)
Israel should not sale any weaponry and high tech equipment to Turkey. The latter has become a buddy of Iran. Instead Israel should be helping Kurdistan in their defense against bombings by Turkey and other countries.
23. High cost of R&D makes exporting necessary
Bloodyscot ,   Dallas, Texas   (08.28.10)
Israel is simple to small a country to afford the high cost of R&D without help from US or exporting. Will the world and US economy down for now, Israel must export to pay for R&D to continue since funding from IDF is limited or Israel could quickly lose its edge in this market.
24. Radar to ToTurkey
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (08.28.10)
I have mix feelings in regard of selling the radar system to Turkey,Russia,China,Iran may study it and create countermeasures, rendering it useless for Israel, but the radar system may be used by Erdogan only for one purpose,to look for Turks who eat on Ramadan.
25. if turkey wants trade buy consumer goods
ralph   (08.28.10)
26. money has no smell
martine ,   ashdod   (08.28.10)
money has no smell. Turks are not our friends and more they make a pact with our enemies. nonetheless, the Israelis are still able to sell them military equipment. what does it happens, Has ve shalom to stop this trade? A war with iran or hesbollah? I think our military equipment must remain a military secret, we are not any country, we are a country surrounded by nations vindictive. no interest in selling military hardware in any of their friends ... fleet has already fallen into oblivion?
27. #24
Omri ,   Israel   (08.28.10)
Why china? Israel and china have good relations and china doesn't much do with Iran anymore. As for Russia remember 52% of the Russian public support Israel, that's the 3rd highest number in the world (after India and USA). So really for the question of what country has the best potential to become an ally to Israel I'll answer Russia. And i have no doubt the Russians are holding Iran on a short leash here and work constantly and silently to sabotage the Iranian Nuke Weapon.
28. Get real you guys
mehmet ,   istanbul   (08.29.10)
Turkey is by no means Israel's enemy. Israel gives Turkey weaponry and Turkey passes to Iran, lol hello? This is not elementary school sweetheart politics. Try to be a little more rational and a little less emotional.
29. How about the holocoust quote
Mehmet ,   Istanbul   (08.29.10)
If you accept every nonsense coming from Iran, Ahmedinejad also said Holocoust is not real, how about that? Only shows Iranian politicians aren't very bright at history. This grabbing every opportunity to attack Turkey seems a bit disappointing as a Turk I have always considered Jews sophisticated, rational people but this section recently turned into another middle east forum, hate-wise.
30. Give Turkey what they gave us...
Edward ,   New York   (08.28.10)
lots of grief. Lets send helicopters full of food to to Kurdistan, ground radar and weapons also. As Kudistan borders on Turkey and Iran, we would be killing three birds with one stone: Thawarting the genocide against the Kurds by Turkey, Thwarting the genocide of the Kurds by Iran, and supporting the Kurdish people!
