1. "historic opportunity"!! whhhhy ?!
Salma ,   Palestine   (08.26.10)
will you waive the right of return ....or for Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine.... will you accept "Israel" as a Jewish state?! Only if the answer is yes (God forbid), could be considered a historic opportunity, because to my knowledge Netanyahu will not give you anything!
2. Peace between Israel more important
David ,   Shiloh Israel   (08.26.10)
The starting point of peace begins with the individual, and extends outwards to his family (peace at home) then to others. Genuine peace must start with peace between the greater family of Israel. We have our ancestral homeland and cannot evict each other from our homes to achieve a 'meaningful' peace with those who otherwise threaten our very existense. That just doesn't mean anything! In reality, trhere is probably a better coexistence between Jews & Arabs in many parts of the settlement blocks, then others would care to admit. Let's face it - the international community seek a replay of WW2 - the St. Louis voyage of damned Jews who weren't welcome amongst the nations, and were eventually slaughtered by them, is still spiritually at sail. Abbas can borrow pretty phrases like 'window of opportunity' to sound original and sincere, but we know better. We must stand strong & united on our land, then we can give peace to the whole world, including our Arab cousins.
3. "don't miss?" Like the "pals" have missed EVERY opportunity.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (08.26.10)
That is EVERY opportunity on purpose because they want to drive the Jews into the sea and take every inch of Israel, the land G-d gave the JEWS.
4. Salma, grow up!
Aharon ,   Israel   (08.26.10)
Salma, you are a very immature boy. When you grow up, you will learn the "negotiation" means I give you something, you give me something. It has been said that a good negotiation is that which ends whith none of the sides completely happy. Do you understand? You will feel happy If you get all you want without giving nothing, but the other side will have been robbed! "Negotiations" are like "love": if it is not good for both, it is rape. Now grow up little boy, make the transition from arsonist to firefighter.

Truth is in your answer - you do not want Israel to be a Jewish State. You do not want Jews in Israel. Why would the Israelis want to negotiate. What's to negotiate? Clearly you are not a type to negotiate with, which is why Israel does not have peace with 'palestinians'.
6. #3 Aharon, Salma is girl name ;)
Salma ,   Palestine   (08.26.10)
"Negotiations are like love", Aharon, You're completely wrong....., In love you give willingly..... in the negotiations you give unwillingly.
7. peace talks
matilda ,   north israel   (08.26.10)
How can Blaa sorry Blair and Sarkozy encourage israel to begin peace talks with the palastinians while Gilad Shalit is being held captive by them without any humanatarian rights!! I am wondering if they would tolerate this situation as a cceptable if Gilad was not Israeli??

Salma... don't you want peace? Is it better for you to continue armed resistance? Look where it has left the palestinians. You have already missed too many opportunities. 1947 and the partition plan (that would have given you Jerusalem / haifa / jaffa etc... ) In 2000 at Camp David again 91% of the west bank, the whole of gaza., east Jerusalem and a fund to deal with the right of return. (Keep in mind there were over 1,000,000 jews expelled from Arab lands) Clinton said at the time "I regret that in 2000 Arafat missed the opportunity to bring that nation into being and pray for the day when the dreams of the Palestinian people for a state and a better life will be realized in a just and lasting peace". You have been offered more than once a chance at Statehood. And now again on the eve of a major opportunity you desire armed resistance over statehood? I don't understand you.
9. Historic opportunity
graczek ,   Maryland, USA   (08.26.10)
If the so-called peace talks, by some perverse chance, succeed, the outcome would rightfully be regarded as the greatest sellout of political and social justice in human history. However, any "peace" so achieved will not last long. Angry Muslims and Christians, with God's loving help, will invade and liberate the Holy Land from Zionism and set things right for as long as Earth shall last!

Forget about RIGHT OF RETURN.Right of return is possible to Saudi Arabia or Jordan.ISRAEL IS JEWISH STATE AND ALWAYS WILL BE. JERUSALEM IS THE CAPITAL OF ISRAEL FOR EVER. You and your brothers and sisters have to forget about ISRAEL.

You are 1000000% RIGHT any peace deal between Jews & Arabs will not last long.Angry Muslims & small percentage of uneducated Christians will not be able to invade the HOLY LAND from ZION.Read the bible which says G D our FATHER IN HEAVEN will PROTECT the children of ISRAEL from our enemies.

Yes, READ the Bible. First, address your SIN. You say you know God, but do you REALLY? Because you have inherited Adam's sin, you need a Savior. Read what Moses wrote about the Messiah. Read that David himself called the Messiah his "Lord". Why would a man call his own descendant "Lord"? Because he knew who the Messiah would be. When Jesus was asked if He was the One they had waited for, He reminded them of the things the Messiah would do. He proved by His words AND actions that He was the One. Many believed in Him. You mentioned "education". You need to read and get educated yourself before it is too late. To TRULY know God is to know His Son, Jesus. Repent and turn to Jesus (obey His words) and be saved from the coming judgment and hell because of your sin against God. Then, He will TRULY protect you.
