31. Let the state stop subsidizing the theaters
jason white ,   afula,israel   (08.28.10)
and cinema.
32. Can we all see the list of all these terror apologists?
(08.28.10)
This is yet another display of suicidal-political correctness which only emboldens Israel's enemies, without actually giving anything to those involved except for silent despise and hidden chuckles among the anti-Israeli, racist genocide mongers. This is befitting the pathetic useful fools who don't miss any opportunity to try and break the unity of the Jewish interest, while committing national suicide, in the name if anarchy and irresponsible, extreme liberalism. They are disgusting! No wonder the attendance to their shows is dwindling. After this stunt, they won't have any problems filling halls in Nablus and Ramallah, with "intellectuals" from among those who wish to wipe Israel off the map.
33. We want to see the list and boycott theaters which employ
observer ,   Free Israel   (08.28.10)
them!
34. #2 "World Citizen"? Maybe rather "Pompous Fool"...
Tayfun_Turkey ,   Istanbul   (08.28.10)
And no. There is no hope for you!
35. #14 "Vladimir, Ashdod"
Tahl ,   Ashdod   (08.28.10)
I live here, and I know Russians in Ashdod. These people are no-nonsese right-wingers (more than I am, as I'm more of a centrist) who are very patriotic and certainly don't buy into this leftist BS by those deadbeat "artists". Lame attempt, impostor.
36. If you only could see how Israeli readers trash these creeps
Tahl ,   Ashdod   (08.28.10)
3000 comments in the Hebrew site, certainly the most I've ever seen there, with about 95% of them expressing nothing but utter disgust and revulsion for these creepy "artists". These detached, deranged, far-fringe lunatic moonbats sure do make a lot of noise, for such a miniscule minority in society.
37. Look at who your "friends" are !
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (08.27.10)
Those # 1 & 2 : the most virulent anti Israelis . You know : tell me who your friends are , i'll tell you who you are .
38. big deal
avi ,   NYC   (08.28.10)
Most of these performers are uncouth eurotrash wannabes who are an embarrassment to Jewish culture. Besides its the illegally Arab colonized Judea and Samaria
39. Israelis with a conscience
David ,   New York, USA   (08.28.10)
It is nice to see some Israelis with a conscience. I applaud them for taking this moral stand against the injustice of illegal settlements like Ariel.
40. want the list of signers so I can avoid
Merav ,   Tel Aviv   (08.28.10)
the productions they are in when performing here in Tel Aviv. My family members are avid theatre-goers and go often to plays large and small. We won't be going to productions that count among the cast and crew those who would refuse to perform in Ariel or before any other Israeli audience (that sentiment includes those who would refuse to perform in our Arab villages as well). Clearly when casting, theatres need to cast with the stipulation that all performers contract to appear in all theatre venues to gain the role.
41. As "emmess" #22 Suggests, let the theatre
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (08.28.10)
community boycott the "boycotters". No more gigs at established theatres, no more compensation for their work and no more support from governmental agencies. Then we'll see how many of them really have such strong convictions. These boycotts can work two ways. As for me, I'll refuse to become their audience. I hope all Israelis refuse. They, and they alone, will have Isolated themselves within their own professional communities. For artists, having no audience is the kiss of death.
42. Please post the list of names
Dan the Jafa ,   Auckland,Aotearoa   (08.28.10)
I do not want to watch their clips on YouTube by accident and I certainly do not wish to attend their performance should those klowns perform in New Zealand.
43. Israeli "performers"
tiki ,   belgium   (08.28.10)
They still 'suffer from the old Jewish European mentality, 'understanding and 'downplaying the 'obvious and very 'clearly stated stand of your adversary! Those "artists" didn't learn anything from (yes again) WW2where the Jews were made to believe that it wouldn't be so bad, the'll just go to camps to WORK!
44. Brecht would sign the protest letter
Beate ,   Holon Israel   (08.28.10)
To play the Caucasian Chalk Circle in a Jews-only theater in a Jews-only settlement - an insult to Berthold Brecht. .
45. The list to boycott
Karinette ,   Netanya, Israel   (08.28.10)
The list of the artists to boycott of their anti-jew behavior are : Renée Yerushalmi, Yossi Polak, Doron Tabori, Itay Tiran, Dror Keren, Edna Mzi, Rami Heuberger, Ruth Ziv Eyal, Albert Cohen, Ido Riklin, Hardy J. Breen, Lillian Concerto, Micah Aslkter, Ole Bull Aslkter, Oded Kotler, Michael Cyrus, Joseph Abraham Aslkter, Shir Edelson, Norman Issa, Dori Parnes, Ofira Henig, Yehoshua Sobol, Savyon Librchte, Boaz Gaon, Motti Lerner, Anat Gov , Yaeli Ronen, professeur Gad Keener, pr Avner Ben-Amos, pr Nurit Yaari, Miri Golan, Gary Wagner, Amir Orian, Tamar Keinan, Hava Ortman, Aharon Almog, Yarden Bar Kokhba, Miriam Gorcaki, Ilan Toren, Ben Zion Munitz Bergman Nimro I found it on the hebrew wesite. Shame on them for trying once again to divide the israelis in spite of the current situation. Ariel citizens are obviously israeli citizens! They seem to have forgot it. They also think that tel aviv is a world appart but also forgot that, if they could, palestinians would also get rid of ,these leftists in TA to build their islamic state! Shame on them
46. Lost souls who don't know who they are!
michael redbourn ,   Arad - Israel   (08.28.10)
I worked for over 30 years with far more famous names than anybody listed here and can honestly say that actors and actresses are lost souls, which is why they wake up every morning wanting to be somebody else. Do you? They have no spine and no ego and crave attention and validation, and this is not just my opinion but that of every non-actor and non-actress that I ever met in the business. http://redbourn.notlong.com Actors and actresses are not Israeli, not English, not American or anything else; they are simply lost souls, and have no identity. Michael
47. I have to laugh @ you all!
Alistair ,   Scotland   (08.28.10)
Disputed territory ! Of course its not disputed by any country in the world except Israel .If Israel wants to dispute the occupied territory it could always go to court and state its case .There is no disputing that its occpied teritorry
48. #41
Muayyad ,   Palestine   (08.28.10)
Boycott the boycotters? You have a fine sense of humor Robert. I wish you luck - you will be boycotting the entire world!!! Watch out for more universities, artists, sovereign nations and companies to escalate the BDS movement until you give up your tight grip on Palestine. By the way, nobody is against Ariel as a community. We are against Ariel as an isolated pocket of Israeli control in the West Bank. If Ariel wants to exist in peace and be accepted by the entire world, it should accept Palestinian sovereignty in the area. Otherwise, and as I said above, it will be a mission impossible for you to "boycott the boycotters". Elements from within your own society are waking up to the threat that is the settlements. I do recall reading your rants against the one-state solution. Well, this is your chance to finally do what's right - what's sustainable, for the sake of many future generations.
49. ACTORS CLEARLY NEED TO READ MORE
Jill ,   Australia   (08.28.10)
This is the most pathetic attempt at publicity I've seen of late. These "actors" and the people who applaud them on the grounds of "illegality" show they have no understanding of the PERFECTLY LEGAL status of the "settlements" in the West Bank ie the Juda and Shomron valley. Still, it's shown me one thing - actors are clearly universally stupid. i thought it was just the ones in the USA , UK, Australia and Canada. Colour me corrected! (Apologies to those actors who do have the power of logical thought and actual understanding of simple legalities ie Jordan invaded West Bank after Israel declared itself a state. It TOOK Israeli territory which Israelregained in 1967. Ditto with East Jerusalem, ditto with Egypt and Gaza. All these territories belong to Israel LEGALLY but because a bunch of Sharia-loving Arabs can't deal with not owning every skerrick of a land that does not belong to them, these areas are disputed.
50. #47 - laughter is good but mocking is not ..
michael redbourn ,   Arad - Israel   (08.28.10)
Before World War I, the area known as the West Bank was considered a part of the province of Syria within the Ottoman Empire. In 1920, by the decisions of the victorious Allies, the area became known as the British Mandate of Palestine. After World War II, the area was captured during the Arab-Israeli War of 1948, and annexed by Jordan. Jordan maintained rule over the area until 1967, even though Jordanian claims found no major international recognition other than by the United Kingdom. Israel captured the West Bank during the Six-Day War of June 1967 and Jordan made no official relinquishment of claims to the land until 1988. A great many Scots are well read but there are always exceptions to every rule ;)
51. Yesha Council what a bunch of loosers
Avi ,   Israel   (08.28.10)
A harsh response ? what a bunch of loosers, they want to take a reality check and they would discover not only No foreign goverment recognises their claim to the west bank but neither do most Israelis, all they can do it threaten and call people traitors who do not agree with their fanatical right wing polices. Lets face it folks the partys over.
52. 2 faced "actors"
Shmuel ,   israel   (08.28.10)
hey clowns, i am sure you would be glad to perform in ramallah? you are all an embarassment, and I boycott you.
53. Its always the same
Ed Bernays ,   Ireland   (08.29.10)
The mouth pieces on this site like all the rest. Mind your own business. You don't live there and you will never live there. That's the problem with you all, you have your own truths, a mixture of hearsay and propaganda, not one of you has the full picture. Let s/he who knows the truth and the facts on the ground step forward. Otherwise, stfu and let the people who live there work it out between them, they know the truth. To the people of the middle east, forget your elites, they don't want peace. The people on the ground want peace and that's a fact.
54. #47 Alistair
Ralph Levy ,   USA   (08.29.10)
Alistair go back to occupied Scotland. I've studied International law and you have not. For it to be occupied it has to be part of a recognized country when it was occupied. The 1922 British mandate gave that land to the Jewish People to create a state. The Jordanians occupied it in 1947 till 67 till Israel took back the West Bank. Technically it was occupied by the Arabs between 47 and 67. It is disputed even Resolution 242 never called for total withdrawal. http://ralphsrant1.blogspot.com
