Israel's interests to ban Maan News from Israel. Let their journalists congregate in the Westbank which should be the centre of their interests anyway. Has anyone else read Maan News? Right beneath our noses Maan News continually posts anti-Israeli articles, never balancing the news, even using such rabid Israeli Israel bashers such as Uri Avnery who make it a practice to demonize their own people. And while we're at it, how should we contend with the saboteurs right within our own midsts such as Haaretz, a newsline based on destroying our nation. I used to read and comment on Haaretz until I finally reckoned it was useless to post as no more than one of a dozen of my submitted posts were being accepted. I even tried recently (last week) after reading a few articles but, of course, nothing had changed. In the meantime, every anti-Israeli and anti-semitic poster around the globe is accepted. How can the few of us fight on behalf of Israel when the Israeli government itself allows others within its borders to break us on each and every occasion. I must admit, it has become very frustrating. We need Israel to move forward, to put limits on journalists and media outlets. The idea of unbridled free speech which Israel has prided itself on does not mean much when one side is given to portraying all sides of a conflict whereas the other (Maan News, Haaretz, et al) justifies its existence by demonizing Israel and disallowing contrary opinions. And this is not to mention the considerable (and powerful) Israeli academia (see isracampus.org.il) which insists on "free speech" as long as they, the Israel haters amongst them, are the only decision and opinion makers. So Israeli government, you need to make it easier and more possible for us, the literate Talkbackers and letter writers, to defend you.

The battle began a good while ago; Arabs have been weaving a web of lies which the international anti-Israel movement is only to happy to accept as gospel's truth. Arabs will have no problem making Wikipedia pages more pro Palestinians- they will get lots of help from people, including Israelis, who will be more then ready to help propagate the false Palestinian narrative dished out these past 60 years. It will be interesting to see if they will discuss in these pages how their misery has been self-inflicted, how they have cleverly diverted attention from their corrupted leaders, totalitarian rule and economic failures, all of their own making. Will they ever acknowledge that their Arab brothers have manipulated them, stoking the fire of hatred, encouraging the Palestinians to play the victim role so that the game could go on and on? Such a pity that the Arabs did not accept the UN's 1947 two-state partition plan – all the terrible wars and misery on both sides could have been avoided. Instead, Israel continues to be subjected to relentless hatred and threats of annihilation, and is left alone to fight the battle of all battles – survival of the Jewish people in the Land of Israel.
