Lebanon - what do you expect? It is in our right to defend ourselves to know what the enemy is up to. As I understand, our two countries have not made any peace agreements - that we are just in a cease fire agreement. If you, Lebanon, have nothing to hide, then why complain?

For months after the 2006 war there was a balloon near Misgav Am/ Lebanon border area that anyone traveling near Kiryat Shmona could see up in the sky. It reminded me of the Goodyear blimp that I once saw on a trip to Florida during the 1970's.

2 baloons escaped from my grandaughters hands on friday afternoon ...please can you return them as it took a long time to blow them up ... they are very hitech... made out of plastic/rubber ,one orange and the the other red..very cheap to produce,just hard to blow up (with air) ,sometimes they self destuct in the house ,specialy when they touch something sharp

the lebanese imagination is fertile soil for any wild, unsubstantiated rumor which always takes root and spreads like out-of-control weeds. all israel needs to do is simply drop the smallest hint of something, anything and then sit back and watch it morph into some monstrosity conspiracy that no amount of planning or even dreaming could ever produce. and the best part of this is they accuse israel of "psychological warfare", lol! it's not "psychological warfare", it's feeding their hysterical paranoia. it's innocent fun.

It wouldn't surprise me if in this case Israel does use hot air balloons for spying but the self destruct mechanism its supposed to have doesn't seem very logical if you want to spy. If these balloons are for spying they are the eyes in the sky Israel doesn't mind the Lebanese seeing. If it wants to spy unobserved then Israel will use its high altitude UAVS which the Lebanese can't see.
