I fear this will go the way of Gap, and be a rip off for what it is. I don't see why a low end teenage brand in the UK should be touted as a luxery brand in Israel - who are they trying to fool? Learn from H&M and Ikea, who'se Israeli operations are more or less comprable to their European stores.

Any chance of being able to shop at Tarzhay without going to the US?

I use to shop there all the time when I lived in the UK as a student in London.
What Israel also needs now is UK's Primark, they wont know what has hit them here!

Only if the prices in Israel are the same as in the UK. Otherwise it's cheaper to fly easyjet and buy at Primarks in the UK

the man who owns topshop, (personal fortune about 6 billion dollars, though this business probably in beneficial ownership of a wife domiciled in monte carlo, for u.k. tax avoidance reasons), does not wear them.

#3 is right. IKEA and HM are doing great business in Israel. I think they made a mistake of bringing GAP instead of Old Navy. I think Old Navy would be a strong competitor to HM here.
I wish they would bring a Target. It is one of my favorite stores in the US. They currently only operate within the US. I have contacted Wal Mart they don't want to come. The problem is that Israel is a small market, and stores like that make profit on volume.
