For Hamas, it is committing suicide. They simply are NOT needed when the Palestinians have a country, accept Israel right to exist in peace, and renounce terrorism and the give up the goal of destroying Israel. Then who needs Hamas? Then what do need you Hamas for? For that matter, what do you need an army for? Israel will not attack a Palestinian state, there is nothing to be gained. The PM's greatest problem is how to balance his need to stay in power with the demands made by the US. Solution? He'll play a game behind your backs. He has already decided that the talks will be conducted in secret. By the time Jews, including MKs, find out how much he has surrendered, it will be too late. 4) Commitments for security are nothing but a FIG LEAF for the devastating surrender planned by your government. How long will those security arrangement last? A year? Ten years? We don't know. But land once surrendered is LOST FOREVER. 5) The peace talks pretence may be nothing but a way for the PA to get its act together for the big showdown in a year or so when they declare unilateral independence, recognized by the US, EU and UN. Netanyahu knows that!!! ~~~~~~~~ Stop the peace talks now. Tell the mediators to go home. Find an Israeli solution for the conflict. Regain control of the situation and make your PM abide by national and international law. Israel should not be partitioned! Annex the land while you still have time.

The 67 borders are basis (guidelines) for any final agreement. In fact, all but appox. 7% of the borders/land are set. There will will be some land swap, and Abbas offered I believe, about 2%-3%, that Israel declined on. So that is one of the issues that will be discussed in the direct talks. So it depends on what you mean by "all" the land. As has been discussed many times on this board, the drafters of UN Resolution 242, expected Israel to keep some of the land, for security reasons. This point is fact, and, not debatable, it is part of the historical record, since the authors are on the record as to what they meant when they authored 242.

I don't have any major disagreements with you, Mark, except that I have yet to hear anything like the following words come out of Bibi's mouth: "The 1967 borders, with mutually agreed upon modifications,, will be the basis of our upcoming negotiations with the Palestinians." And I believe I was correct when I asserted that Egypt got all of its land back in return for peace with Israel. Sadat would accept nothing less. So if Bibi is calling for a Palestinian Sadat, he should expect some very tough negotiations and Palestinian insistence on one-for-one trade of land.

The west bank of Israel (Judea and Samria) has been Jewish for thousands of years. It is very much our country. you instead of acting as recent guests just love war and conquering our land as well. You have the entire middle east why take our land too? You used to just have the Arabian peninsula. Already, the Europeans gave you (without our full consent) 77% of our land- the East bank of the land of Israel which is today Palestine/Jordan. There has been continuous Jewish presence on our land including the west bank (Judea and Samaria and Gaza) for thousands of years while ever since your people came -mostly form the 1880's- you murdered jews in their towns several times over i.e. Gush Etzion. 1929 because of Arab/Turk violence Jews were evacuated from their houses in Hebron where Jews lived for thousands for years. In fact, Hebron was the first Capitol before Jerusalem. You live in Jewish homes. Then in 1948 your people invaded and occupied Judea and Samaria murdering Jews and running Jews out, destroying holy places, many many synagogues and took Jewish tomb stones and used them to pave roads and as urinals. Then the lands were liberated in 1967 after again your people fought a war of genocide against the Jews in their homeland. I don't exactly know what gives you the right to occupy our land and be violent? Also the very few Arabs/Turks that have been here much longer than the 1880s slaughtered Jews and took our houses and occupied out towns and cities and never changed the name of our towns.
