2. Discrimination
Vicki ,   Kadima, Israel   (09.07.10)
Not just the Emanuel situation is promoting discrimination. There are other councils inside of Israel who also practise discrimination. Raanana as an example is discriminating against children from Kadima who would like to go to school there. If anyone would like to take up a serious human interest story, where a child has been kept out of school because of the Iriya Ranana, please contact me.

5. Religious Jews/Shabat/Ghetto Blasters
Realitycheck ,   Jerusalem Israel   (09.07.10)
As a secular Jew I am appalled by the basic lack of respect and total ignorance of so many Israelis re Shabbat and holidays here.I completely understand that for a religious Jew to see Jewish children bycyling on the streets on Yom Kippur or playing their ghetto blasters on the Sabbath is like a knife in the heart and not only the religious feel this way. Many secular see this as one more weaking of our collective society not to mention total disrect for their neighbors and "the other" that the liberals claim they represent.Where I live is a mixed neighborhood & for years it has become a "tradition" for young people coming back from the soccer match which ends before Shabbat to enter the neighborhood after Shabbat has begun car horns blaring passing their neighbors on the way to the synagogu with their children.
