I agree with the boycott. However Israeli theater actors should disassociate themselves van the support of blatantly anti-Israel celebrities. For example Vanessa Redgrave, "Zionism is a brutal, racist ideology. And it is a brutal racist regime," If they do not disassociate themselves from this kind of support they will be accused of helping the de-legitimization of Israel. And the accusation will be correct.

It would be interesting to note how many Arabs the treatment of gays and women in ALL the muslim countries. I remember hearing about one woman who won a prize for modern art which was an unmade bed she just took a bed messed the sheets threw a couple of clothes around and she won a prize for it and made a whole load of money. The top Hollywood actors wont even get out of bed for less than $10 million. I think the only Hollywood star who gives something back I can think of is Arnold Shwarzeniger who is governor of California and he works for $1 a year because he doesn't need the money. He does the job free of charge because he wants to do the job not because he is interested in making profits from it. These actors need things like boycotts because it makes them feel better about themselves. They are the moral few standing up for whats right so they deserve a big round of applause which actors do so love to get.

Ariel was built on state land, this would mean that the land was legally purchased through normal channels. There hasn never been a country or nation state called Palestine, hence there have never been any established borders, only an armistice line (the green line) this line was agreed with Jordan, Jordan no longer lays claim to Judea and Samaria hence that green line has become invalid, therefore any Jewish owned land existing behind it comes under the administration of the Jewish state. The people of Ariel are not fanatics, they are as varied as in any city, a lot are idealists, they are not "existing illegally" and deserve equal treatment, stating that their very existence causes a provocation is racist (would there be such an uproar if they were immigrant Arabs?). If you want to change minds, you'd do well to remember these facts and write to those involved in this boycott, because they sure as hell aren't in possession of them.
