Russia, is learning that Iran and Syria can not be trusted, and will not help Russia reach its goals. It has taken time, however, Israel could speed up warmer relations if they wanted to. Russia and Israel both face terrorism from Islamic forces. Israel, Russia, China and India have alot in common in facing terrorism, its time to take advantage of that.

They buy a few weapons from foreigners who have developed good stuff. Then they reverse engineer the things and build duplicates which they then export often to enemies of the country that designed the original. Israel should look at buying some of Russias better products like S-300 & S-400 which as anti aircraft systems are superior to the american hardware Israel has. America doesn't always do it better. Lets buy their weapons learn a few tricks and then build something better.
