I do not ask this lightly, I believe you have every right to build in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. But you have an opportunity for a tremendous PR victory. In the PR game the Palestinians have outmaneuvered Israel at almost every turn. Now is the time to turn the tables. You have: 1) sat down for "direct talks", 2) your under fire by Hamas 3) Hamas has: a) murdered 4 innocent civilians...including one pregnant women and mother of 6 kids. b) attacked and wounded 2 more civilians. c) shot 2 border guards. d) are firing rockets into Israel at civilian targets (war crimes). 4) Hamas has stated they will NOT honor the outcomes of any agreements. 5) Hamas has threatened Abbas, King Abdulla of Jordan, and Hosni Mubarak of Egypt, with death threats and Security. Continue the building freeze in the face of all this brutal opposition, and prove...not that you really need to...your serious beyond a shadow of doubt. Hamas will continue the killing, the rockets, the snipers. Israel will continue to negotiate. You will win...at last...the PR battle. Hamas and the Palestinians will be seen for what they truly are, terrorists and murderers. I know it is a lot to ask, but you use the sacrifices that have already been made, or blow it, by building. Like it or not, the Pals will win that PR battle. It sickens me that Jewish life must be wasted...well not wasted...but sacrificed, again. It seems that Jewish life is cheap and not appreciated. But Israel can, right now, win a most important PR battle, one that you must win, to achieve peace. Continue the freeze, Hamas will not know what to do, so they will kill, snipe and fire rockets at civilians, and this time, at last it will backfire. I understand PR, and how it works, right is the moment.

Remember if there is peace and Hamas got on board...which is doubtful...Gaza would be a great beach resort. That is, if Hamas won't kill and kidnap the tourists. Heck investors would be lining up to build the Gaza coastline with resort Hotels. Then you service jobs, rentals, of Jet Ski's, Beach chairs and umbrella's, motorcycles etc.. here in Georgia, people flock to the Florida panhandle for spring breaks, summer vacations. The coast is lined with restaurants on the beach, stores that sell swimsuits, boogey-boards, beach-balls, rafts. You can para-sail, rent catamarans, there is or was...until the recent oil spill...this great economy. That is just one sector. The Gaza airport has been out of commission for the last 10 years, the water and sewage infrastructure needs upgrading...unless Hamas steals all the pipes to make Qassam missiles...roads need to be upgraded houses rebuilt, new apartments need to be built. As always, peace is entirely in the hands of the Palestinians, not Israel.

When the PA leadership gets their slippery hands on donor money, they make ENRON executives look like amateurs! And where's all the compensation for the JEWS kicked out of Arab lands? No. If Israel continues the freeze, the world will think that even Israel agrees that it is good and proper to have laws that prohibit Jews from living in certain places. This must stop. For Israel to win the propaganda level, Israel must demand equality, all the time. Israel should change the subject from "settlements" to security and from Jerusalem to Hevron and then refuse to talk about the former until security and Hevron have been worked out. I think a fair agreement would be: 1. Jerusalem remains Jewish, with special rights for some Arab state to the Temple Mount. 2. Hevron becomes part of some Arab state, which special rights for Israel to the Cave of the Patriarchs. 3. Jewish towns in the West-Bank get annexed to Israel. 4. Arab towns in Israel get annexed to an Arab state. 5. Or, alternatively to 3. and 4., Israel and the Arab state (possibly Jordan) form a EU-like federation where citizens of both countries have the right to live and work in either country but vote only in their own. Arabs born in Israel automatically become citizens of the Arab state and Jews born in the Arab state automatically become citizens of Israel, with exceptions for Israeli Druze and those Bedouin clans who want to remain Israeli. 6. Israel and the Arab state form a single football team and will automatically qualify for every worldcup final forever.

There are very few things in which Arabs agree. #1 is annihilation of Israel and eliminating all the jews from ME. #2 because they cannot do annihilation in one go they have agreed unanimously to make it by getting land piece by piece. To create their state they will not give any concessions of their demands just waiting the state to be given to them by UN, US,EU. There will be no peace agreement because Israel will never accept her transformation into Arab country which is basic Arab demand. The West pays billions of dollars to create a new apartheid country where Jews or Christians are not allowed except to give them more money. BUT Israel is not Kosovo. A new terrorist state cannot be formed by force from the West or from Arab countries.

All these Distractions and Diversions that Israel find itself being bombarded by external entities are just an excuse to lull Israel from defending itself from Iran nuke threat of annihilation. Israel should not be fooled by them. Israel should be preparing to defend the nation against rocket attacks by Iran's tentacles-Hezbollah, Hamas, Syria and Iran itself. Israel cannot and must not trust any states in the region. Nor can Israel trust the Obama AntiSemite administration. Israel can only trust the GOD of Israel and its people who will defend the Land of Israel from external aggressors and those who have threatened to wipe off Israel. It is time for Israel to focus its eyes squarely on Iran nuke threat. All the other issues pale in comparision to Iran nuke and missile threats.

This guy was talking $50 billion for the palestinians only Israels bills he expects Israel to pay. The bulk of this $50 billion - $250 billion should be paid for by the Arab League as they created the whole conflict to begin with. In 1947 although the palestinians rejected partition had it not been for the war of independence started by Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Transjordan and Saudi Arabia we may have been able to implment the partition plan. Then we went to war and around 600,000 arabs left mostly free will and the arab states refused to rehouse because they wanted them to return to israel. The Arab League dreamed up the right of return concept which is why they passed a rule making it illegal for any arab state to give citizenship to palestinians because they do not want them to forget their roots or give up on the right to return to their homes. So the Arab League created the situation we are in today so let them pay the bills. Europe & the US are both in financial difficulties right now and the Gulf states seem to be the only ones who are making good money so let them pay the bill, To the likes of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait even $250 billion is not alot.

Right on the money. The Arab league has created this refugee problem and no way are they going to be allowed into israel. There are refugees all over the world who will never go to their birth places again (including 1 million Jews born in arab countries) and the world does little to enforce resettlement into their homelands. politics change. 600000 palestinian arabs left because of the war on their own and those hosting countries are responsible for their humanity

Ten days of Saudi oil production is 50 billion dollars. If the Emirates and Kuwait chipped in this would reduce it to five days production. If all the Arab oil producers were to participate it would be only one day's production. Check the production levels and do the maths. "Brothers" ?
