1. Jordan and nuke
Brod ,   USA   (09.10.10)
Jordan wants to tinker with nuke before its can feed its own people. Does he want to see it obliterated by Israel? Why do these idiots like to repeat the stupidity of their fellow-Islamist-Jihadists. Japan should stay out of the tinderbox of the Middle East.
2. #1 - This is About Building a Nuclear Power Plant
Doug ,   Rochester, USA   (09.10.10)
Not a nuclear bomb. Power is needed to help feed their people and grow their economy.
3. Don't lump Jordan in with the others
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (09.10.10)
I happen to trust King Abdulla and his Dad too, when he was alive. The Jihadist want to kill King Abdulla like they wanted his Dad dead also. Remember Hamas just recently threatened to kill him and Hosni Mubarak. Remember they threw out the Pals on "Black September" when they tried to overthrow King Hussein, his Dad. In this region King Abdulla has the only country with a respectable army. Because he, as his Dad, needed it to protect their power. King Abdulla says what has to, to please the "Arab street", but he is not a radical. His Dad, King Hussein, trained his son well, how run Jordan and stay alive. I trust him, personally speaking.
4. # 2 Doug - inform yourself about how a nuclear reactor
Jeff ,   USA   (09.11.10)
can be used to build a bomb. It's complicated science but in a nutshell, it's the materials used and processed that can be utilized for energy or for bombs.
5. Nuke Tech is now a commodity
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (09.11.10)
...no one can stop progress, and shouldn't.
6. 1 & 4 because Israel is using nuclear technology to build
Sam   (09.11.10)
weapons, does that mean the entire region shouldn't be allowed to have nuclear power plants?
7. #6 Sam - good question. Let's look at the evidence
Jeff ,   USA   (09.11.10)
The evidence regarding how those countries handle issues less explosive (no pun intended) than nuclear power. A few of those issues: popular dissent, policing, international relations, justice, ecology, toxic waste, trade, human rights, democracy, elections, modern technology, natural resources, wealth distribution, education, and many other issues that measure modernity, CIVIL MATURITY and SOCIAL STABILITY and population and leaders' EMOTIONAL STABILITY. If in your opinion they pass all those test or most of them, then by all means let them have nuclear technology, why not.
