1. What a bunch of loosers
Avi ,   Israel   (09.12.10)
Let`s not forget the very same people voted for BB in the first place and now they cry he turned his back on them. Well Duh ! what a bunch of desperate losers the settlers are. Let’s face it folks the parties over , we are no longer prepared to pay the price so a bunch of fanatics can live the real estate dream
2. Vox populi
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.12.10)
If Netanyahu is smart and wishes to remain in office, he'll listen. If the current government falls, the next one will be considerably further to the right. Hey .... not a bad thing ....
3. I don't see what the problem is...
Jonny ,   London, UK   (09.12.10)
Let the settlers live in a future Palestine and ensure that they are equal citizens entitled to vote in their country. Some of them may even sit in the Palestinian government. Just like Arabs in Israel. Settlers need to be told what to do. They are entitled to voice their opinions and that's where it ends. Enough of this nonsense!
4. PM Netanyahu whom I do not agree with...
E. Peres ,   Jerusalem   (09.12.10)
on many many points is the properly and democratically elected Prime Minister of the State of Israel. This is who we have and this is who leads us PERIOD! Especially today on the Fast of Gedalia, I am just exhausted with the Israeli Right wing settlers and their fascist demogoguery! Who exactly does this MINORITY think it is that they have the right to change the democratically elected leader of the nation, just like that because they don't agree with him! REALLY! Seriously! ENOUGH ALREADY!
5. Bravo!
vitenberg ,   FRANCE   (09.12.10)
Bravo! Exactly what I already wrote: Bibi is Sharon II and "Blessed Hussein Obama" is Bevin II
6. Not just "Settlers"! everyone who voted for BB in Jerusalem,
Jason   (09.12.10)
Tel-Aviv, Haifa etc. are pissed off at him!
8. Bibi
Ricardo Macher ,   Karnei Shomron IL   (09.12.10)
In order to send Bibi home we need people who are supposed to be loyal to their ideas like Benny Begin, Limor Livnat and other ministers to state clearly that they will vote against Bibi and do it! There is just one thing that Bibi is afraid of, a rebellion in Likud! If he understands that he will be left alone with Barak and Meridor, he will change his way suddenly. We depend on the people that full their mouth with promises!
9. Not angry settlers - Angry Citizens.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (09.12.10)
As far as thje Arabs are concerned, we are ALL settlers. This gov't. was not elected to evict Jews. If you support evicting Jews, someday you will be the one evicted from your home. Stop day-dreaming about peace - how many times will we fall for false hope, we got screwed every time. We've had enough of this con game.
10. Impostor under my name
Ricardo Macher ,   Karne Shomron - IL   (09.12.10)
Please, be advised that there is an impostor under my name. I am strongly against the extension of the freeze and traditionally believe in the redemption of the land by Jews only. Positions otherwise different are untrue.
12. More Concessions
RC ,   USA   (09.12.10)
More and more concessions to the Arabs yet it seems the Arabs give nothing good in return. It is time for Israel to put its trust in Elohim. BHO seems to encourage the Arabs for more concessions in return for a false peace, because he should know full well what the Koran says about Jews and Christians. Israel has been misled by untruthful rabbis to turn their backs on Elohim by saying that it is a sin to proclaim Elohim’s name and caused Israel to forget Elohim’s name (Jeremiah 23:26-27). Some would rather follow the Talmud which was inspired by men than follow the Tanach which was inspired by God. Joel 2:32 states that everyone who calls on the Name of יהוה shall be delivered, Psalm 69:35-36 says that Elohim shall save Zion and build the cities of Yahudah, and that those who love His Name shall dwell in it. 1Chronicles 16:8-9 states that we are to give thanks to יהוה, call upon His Name, Make known His deeds among the peoples, sing to Him, and sing praise to Him, speak of all His wonders. Edom shall not possess Zion because Malachi 1:4 states that Edom shall be called ‘Border of Wrongness’, and the people against whom יהוה is enraged forever.
13. #1 and #4
Jan ,   Houston, Texas   (09.12.10)
"Settlers" are Israelis. "Settlers" are Jews. Just like you and me. We have enough enemies...shame on you for turning on our own people. who love Israel more than you do.
14. More concessions in exchange of nothing
Frank ,   Canada   (09.12.10)
The freeze must end.
15. Bibi encourages Terror by weakness
RatS ,   USA   (09.12.10)
Breaking his promise on "the temporary freeze", proves to the Arabs that Israel is indeed a "weak horse" and they will deal with her even more harshly and boldly. Iran will increase it's efforts to destroy Israel completely.Weakness, giving even a little bit to blackmail, is deadly . Bibi should retire and a strong leader should replace him. Time is slipping by.
16. To extend trust to November - 8 weeks?
David ,   Shiloh Israel   (09.12.10)
I hope that Bibi is playing his cards right. Obama is concerned with his electoral position this coming November, and needs Bibi & Abbas to provide politcal support (if that's not interfering in foreign affairs, what is?) If Bibi is trying to keep the ball in play whilst garnershing US commitment over Iran, then we elected him PM to play just such a game of international brinkmanship. However, the right wing , including settlers, voted Bibi in on a platform that excludes shrinking our tiny country. I'm inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt, only until mid-November. Meanwhile, he needs to know who he represents, and the platform of promises upon which he was elected to 'serve' his country. We should also be prepared to democratically seek other options, unless he's playing for the opposition. Bibi, I see you walking a tightrope and I hope you can come through for the real Israel and yourself!
17. PR is the game, like it or not
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (09.12.10)
The fact is Israel is in the middle of another PR game, one that the Palestinians always seem to win. Even when they are clearly in the the wrong, which they are, here and now. So as Danny Dayan states correctly: "While the Palestinian return to the path of terror and arrogantly reject the notion of recognizing Israel as a Jewish state, " His conclusions are wrong, and miss a golden opportunity. Danny Dayan states the response to the Palestinian rejection should be, and I quote: "we must not stutter, blink, or become anxious – instead, we must go back to building." You now have Palestinians where you want them. Israel should make a statement that they at this time intend to continue the freeze, but, reserve the right to build anytime they wish. Now you have just pulled the teeth from the Palestinians. They have no excuse to walk away because the freeze is still in place. Meanwhile Hamas and the Palestinians will continue the attacks and terror, will continue to reject Israel and its right to exist. The world clearly will see, it's not the building freeze...because it is still in place...and the PR victory the Palestinians are trying to goad you into, goes out the window. Israel is not giving up anything by continuing the freeze, and don't look at it that way. Your depriving the Palestinians of another false excuse to continue violence. Everybody can see the constant attacks, now you continue the freeze, and you get more attacks. Who at that point can blame the Israeli's? Think of it as a PR move.
18. To: Ricardo at No. 10
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.12.10)
We know. We know.
19. Netanyahu serves CFR Globalist Rodents agenda
Marcel ,   Florida   (09.12.10)
The Washington elites always make sure there is a weak puppet Prime Minister ruling in Israel who will always cave into their final solution for Israel. Olmert,Livmi,Sharon,Rabin and the latest poodle on their leash Netanyahu do not bode well for Israel.
20. # 3
Birdi ,   Israel   (09.12.10)
Stick to British politics; you are way out of your league here.
21. #1 Avi
Jonny ,   London, UK   (09.12.10)
You hit the nail on the head!! The Real estate dream under the guise of nationalism. Let them live in a future Palestine...
22. #20
Jonny ,   London, UK   (09.12.10)
For your information I am a Jewish Israeli living in London. I am not out of my league purely because you do not agree with me. Your arrogance is precisely the outlook that keeps Israeli society stuck in the mess it's in...
23. Bibi and the people
Brod ,   USA   (09.12.10)
Bibi will do well if he listens to the inhabitants of the Land of Israel. Why put a freeze on development on your own liberated historic homeland of Judea and Samaria? They are Israel's Land! Don't defy the will of the people-your supporters. It is not worth giving in to external entities whose agenda is to deprive Israel of its liberated historic homeland.
24. #20 To Arab Jonny in London
Ron ,   Tel Aviv   (09.12.10)
I don't know if Jonny the most popular Arab name in London. But I know that Blair is on peace deal for the money. Abass' family also need English cash. Barak made millions on the first peace deal (poor Joe to multimillioner). Bibi looking at these guys and Sarit asking "where is cash for our family, you are not as good as Sharonchik" was."
25. Breaking faith with the electors
Gideon Reader ,   USA   (09.12.10)
Any polititurd who gains office/power as the result of the promise of faith to an ideology or other position, and then breaks faith with those who voted for him/her; and moreover equivacates and provides "nuance" for the breaking of that faith should be removed, toppled, recalled, driven from office in a manner that will prevent reemergance into political life. If Bibi (of whom I have long been a fan) breaks that faith, he should be sent into obscurity, NEVER, EVER to return to political life. The next question is would a Feigk=lin or Liberman also break faith and do they deserve to be elevated to leadership of the nation.
26. # 24
Birdi ,   Israel   (09.12.10)
Its Sara, not Sarit.
27. Bib violates"Human Rights" signed by Govt.
sam ,   USA   (09.12.10)
28. What I would like to know is this....
Steve   (09.12.10)
Why do Israel's Jews keep voting for failed parties; parties of retreat and surrender like Likud and Yisrael Beiteinu? Both parties support the two state "final solution" to the Jewish question. Both Netanyahu and Avigdor Leiberman are reflections of their respective failed parties. Why do Jews vote for these failed parties election after election, hoping for a different result and then crying "We were betrayed!!!" ? When Ariel Sharon and Netanyahu campaigned and were elected, they did and do exactly what people with half a brain know they will do. They freeze building in our land and forcibly expel Jews from our land. These weak politicians always indicate they will surrender and retreat even as they campaign for office. Why do Israel's Jews vote Likud when they could have voted National Union for example? NU is a land-of- Israel party that, unlike Likud, does not advocate territorial compromise. WHY? Can someone tell me why the Right in Israel continually votes for failure?
29. Why is it so much cheaper to build and live in W. Bank?
Bloodyscot ,   Dallas, Texas   (09.12.10)
The cost of living and land is far cheaper in W. Bank than Israel proper for a reason. There is no Israeli state land in the W. Bank except land taken for military use only per past agreements and about 40% of settlements on Palestinians owned land per Israel Gov. data. Israel Gov. subsidized settlers to provide lower cost of living there, so that more settlers will come. Limit building to Jewish owned land(I know many claim all W. Bank Jewish land), remove subsidizes and add a security tax to people living there, then about 25% to 40% will leave if it cost more to live there than in Israel proper.
30. Told you so
Mike ,   USA   (09.12.10)
Feiglin warned everyone in Israel years before the freeze, that Bibi has no scruples and would sell his own mother for a quarter, Lieberman is no better. IF, Bibi is toppled from the Govt, then Feiglin is likely to be the next PM. Let's hope it's not too late...
31. Abbas is perfectly right.
Ralph Haglund ,   Lund, Sweden   (09.13.10)
Jewish settlers settled all of Israel and Abbas calls every Jew there for illegal settler. Bibi is definitvely better than Olmert but.... Why not keeping his old promises from before the election? And an absolute stop for "Peace Now" to travel and spy in Judea/Samaria for the EU money they get rich on.
