1. Hamas at it again
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (09.12.10)
So the continued use of human shields continues by Hamas. What's funny is this one attack by Hamas actually constituted two "war crimes". 1) Firing inaccurate rockets at civilian targets into Israel. 2) Using human shields by firing the rockets from areas that put their own people in harms way. I like to call that a twofer. Two "war crimes" with one incident. But heck it is Hamas, and nobody really cares when they commit "war crimes". The world always excuses all heinous crimes by Palestinians as "resistance". The popular euphemism for murder and terror. Take these same acts, and commit them in any civilized country, and they would be considered crimes. Heinous acts of cold blooded murder and attempted murder. But in Israel, and against Israel, and the Palestinians call them "heroic acts", and have parades, pass out candy and rejoice. If the perversion has to be explained, if some would make excuses, and actually excuse the acts as legitimate, those are people that cannot be reasoned with. Their guided only by hate, a culture of death mentality, a deviant logic not worthy of an civilized society.
2. Are your troops blind?!!
Salma ,   Palestine   (09.12.10)
90-year-old man !!!!!!!!! is it suitable age for terrorism?! Or that you punish this elderly man because he is still breathing ?! SHAME ON YOU .

If the Palestinians hadn't decided to approach the border firing RPG's and mortars there wouldn't have been an incident - period. Firing from either behind or in the vicinity of civilians risks the latter becoming casualties. 'Seeing inside buildings' which may either be in the line of fire or being used as cover, as in previous incidents, renders any allegations of 'blindness' as immaterial. Having said that when those Palestinians instigating the violence were prepared to fire at Israeli civilians in the first place, it surely is pure hypocrisy to see the Israelis being blamed for responding to the attacks which may have led to the casualties. While any civilian casualties are regrettable, as usual Israel is held to standards which the Palestinians ignore as a matter of course when targeting civilians is their modus operandi. Where is this land '"Palestine"? Palestine does not exist as a geographical, regional or political entity of ANY description and has not done so since the re-birth of the Jewish state of Israel in May 1948. The use of the term is not only a distortion of the facts on the ground in the Middle East but also denotes an inherent bias against the present existence of the State of Israel within it's current boundaries and a predilection towards the Arab stance in the region. More make believe.
4. No Salma, we're not blind and we're not stupid
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (09.12.10)
Every time Palestinians armed with rockets, machine guns, bombs, or all of the above attack Israel and we kill them, you immediately say it was a little old lady pushing a baby in a stroller. Remember the lies Saeb Erekat said on tv about Jenin? The famous "500 massacred" that every human rights organization that investigated said was a lie? We're not blind. You said "peace", but kept sending suicide bombers so we put up a wall. You said "get out of Gaza" so we did, and you sent thousands of rockets. We're not blind. And we're not stupid. Attack us and we will crush you. Make peace with us and you guys will probably be the richest non-oil Arab nation in the world.
5. #2 Short-term memory, Salma???
Cynthia ,   USA   (09.12.10)
Palestinian terrorists fire kassams at Israel to provoke response. They knowingly subject civilians to danger. Israel responds and you scream bloody murder. They've trained you well. Get rid of your terrorist brothers and Palestinians will thrive.
6. Approaching the Border
Mark of Lewiston ,   Lewiston USA   (09.12.10)
They went from the bathroom and bedrooms towards the kitchen. Don't Israeli reporters ever ask questions about how the IDF sees this dangerous movement inside people's houses? Or Don't Israeli reporters care as long as the IDF says that they were terrorists? The first casualty of war is truth.
7. Are your troops blind|||
JUDAH THE LION   (09.12.10)
No Salma, the IDF are not blind,in fact the opposite.Stop your VIOLENCE AND STOP YOUR FIRE and everything will be OK.

9. Shame on you salma

The troops are not blind but your rockets are....they know not where they go,so they can miss,or kill and maim. You poor guys just can't seem to get it...you lose all the time.
11. This is a story clouded in inconsistencies. Salma!
Harry Wright ,   UK   (09.12.10)
One version says the IDF killed three armed men approaching the fence or border. The pals have two versions. One says the people killed were a 90 (or 91) year old man and his 14 (or 17) year old grandson - killed in their home. The other says two farmers were killed, I suppose in their fields. The Pals are still trying to make up their minds. Meanwhile, Salma says the IDF should be able to recognize their ages. Salma, go check out the story for us. We would love to know.
12. great job IDF ! as usual

Thanks for what you are doing to keep our State alive and safe. Thank you for what you do for your people. keep up the good work G-d Bless all of YOU.
13. thanks to IDF's intention detectors,

IDF is so advanced to know those trying to shoot anti-tank rockets
14. DF kills 3 Palestinians on Gaza border
Aron ,   Canada   (09.12.10)
If in fact civilians killed at security wall, than it is the fault of Mamas as they are trying to sent civilians without telling them of the dangers in order for them getting killed and as so doing, they try to put doubt in the minds of Israeli soldiers not to shoot and doing so putting soldiers in danger.

16. To # 14, making word of Allah high, grani & kid are martyrs
observer   (09.12.10)
Restrictions on the Jihad should be known by every Muslim. Jihad should be only to make word of God high; simply word of God is the Righteous words and deeds. Forbidden jihad is that aimed at unjust, vengeance and racial causes. If a Muslim is killed during a forbidden jihad, he or she is anything but martyr. they were staying peacefully, not near the security wall, when they have been killed after a shell hit their home. Peaceful Jihad also makes the word of Allah high.
17. #2 - Pal sources confirmed IDF fired at terror cell
William ,   Israel   (09.13.10)
which begs the question...from where was the terror cell operating? The correct answer would be: from within civilian areas - both a war crime and negating their protection under Geneva Convention. I don't hear your condemnation of that tactic which, if ended tomorrow, would cut civilian death toll among "Palestinians" by 88%!
18. Notice how ever person who strays towards the border..
William ,   Israel   (09.13.10)
is an overtly elderly man or young kids. Neither can move quickly nor fire weapons well, which doesn't match both the video by the IDF and testimony of "victory attacks" by Gazan terrorists. Just seeing how one must be pretty nimble at the border, it's obvious to all (well, some - sorry Salma) that something is fishy from the "palestinian sources".
19. #6 - it seems you just admitted to murder, Mark
William ,   Israel   (09.13.10)
Murder of truth, that is. The terrorists already admitted they fired the RPGs into Israel and that the IDF fired back at their position, indicating that the movement the IDF cited was real.
20. #16 - thank you for negating the entire Pal narrative
William ,   Israel   (09.13.10)
"Forbidden jihad is that aimed at unjust, vengeance and racial causes." Well, that pretty much sums up the Arab actions since 1920 in the region. But under the guise "ethnically cleansed Arab land of dogs" instead of "jihad", I guess it meets the Muslims standard of approval. :-P
21. @16

the civilized world is so damn sick of you allah, the pedophile, that we just coiuld care less if all of you die in battle. for us, they are notr shahids. they represent less terrorists.

Sean ,   Montreal, Quebec   (09.13.10)
Your rabid distortions of reality to support killing of innocents is getting rather tiring. Innocent people dying at the hands of the IDF and your conclusion is to automatically unload on Hamas. You sell false claims to people on this site about how the outside world excuses everything Hamas does and forever criticizes Israel. Well done Yank, just another one from south of the border all to willing to pander to peoples fears and stoke the flames of war. Haven't your people caused enough killing in the last half century? You accuse Palestinians of passing out candy and rejoicing when their is death. In our country we refer to loathsome logic like that as hypocrisy. Here, innocent people have died and you use that opportunity to rejoice in your own agenda which is to spread division and fear with the ultimate aim of dehumanizing all Palestinians in order to make war more palatable. Your commentaries, apart from being incendiary, are insidious.
24. Wow, Sean (#23), you're foaming in the mouth...
Bat Zion ,   Centre, Israel   (09.13.10)
I'll let Mark answer you, he does that better than I would anyway. Let me just post this link, showing ho Hamas fantasises on occupying Tel Aviv and Jerusalem - or "liberating" them, as THEY say, setting fire to the Supreme Court. Love and peace, indeed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loxrURhP11E
25. #23; Sean: 3rd try
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (09.13.10)
You accuse me of "rabid distortions", yet fail mention what those distortions were? I simply pointed out the truth, if that changes opinions don't blame me. Look Sean, Hamas just killed 4 and wounded 2 people in drive-by shootings, then held a "victory" parade, and called those murders "heroic acts". So I point that out, if for some, it "dehumanizes" the Palestinians, how is it my fault? It was the Palestinians actions? As we see here, these are not new kinds of celebrations. We have all seen the video's of the 9/11 "parade" among the Palestinians. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mV_eN4YEEI0 I simply don't see how pointing out the truth makes me a "hypocrite". And when you write: " Haven't your people caused enough killing in the last half century? " Who are "your people"" and what "killing" do you refer to? What I see, is the hate emanating from the Palestinians, not anybody else.
