1. capitulation to a radical Israeli minority????????????????
Rachel   (09.13.10)
I hate to burst your LEFTIST RADICAL ATHEIST bubble but you are the minority and the majority of Israelis are not the media and with Judea & Samaria!
2. Abiding by international law
Eyal ,   Rehovot   (09.13.10)
Barnes states:  "The resumption of construction is a huge reward for Abbas – it’s his getaway path. He doesn’t deserve this prize." Halting settlement construction isn't a prize for Abbas, it is simply abiding by international law which is quite clear on the issue of settlement construction.
3. Netanyahu must choose between Paradise & Hell, pain & bliss,
Salma ,   Palestine   (09.13.10)
Settlers and the Palestinians. It's the moment of truth Bibi :) Are you ready for the answer ? ummmm,no Bibi for the ANSWER not for the LIES ! SORRY...TRY AGAIN.
4. What does international law have to do with anything?
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (09.13.10)
Eyal from Rehovot would make us think that it's all a legal issue, and that Israel is the big problem because of "international law". I have bad news for Eyal - the Palestinians don't give a damn about international law. They've also convinced a gullible west that laws don't apply to Palestinians. Here's the proof: If next week we build a kindergarten in my town here in Judea, the Palestinians will walk out of the peace talks and Eyal and America and the EU will say that Israel violated international law and that the Palestinians are justified to quit the talks. If next week the Palestinians fire kassam rockets at Sderot and Ashkelon and kill a dozen innocent civilians, the Palestinians will claim they didn't do it (we're negotiating with Fatah, not Hamas), and the Americans and EU will demand that Israel stay at the peace table. There is no doubt in anybody's mind that firing anti-personnel rockets at civilians is a war crime and is against international law. Yet the Palestinians would be able to murder Israelis and not affect the talks, while Israel will be the international villain if we build a kindergarten. The Palestinians don't have to abide by international law. The Europeans and Americans (and left wing Israelis) gave them immunity years ago. It's time for the immunity to stop. Either international law is for everybody, or for nobody. Even Eyal would have to agree with that.
5. Breach of faith/Breach of promise
Gideon Reader ,   USA   (09.13.10)
Both a breach of faith and a breach of promise nullify the contract between voters and polititurds from whom the holder of office sought votes, justifying recall, removal or toppeling of the government. A contract is a contract. Honor and duty towards faith and truth MUST play a part in any agreement of the entire system turns a Switzerland into Zimbabwe, no less Israel..
6. Bibi's promise is to Israel , not Obama
RayS ,   USA   (09.13.10)
Character is important. Bibi promised to end the freeze this September. To fail in this will label him a wimp in the eyes of the world. From there it is a slippery slope to disaster.
7. Mis-stating the facts
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (09.13.10)
If Bibi continues the illegal and racist freeze the coalition isn't going to survive and hopefully Likud will remove him and we will tell the entire world that we a sovereign state that will not give in to terrorism and genocide.
8. The Antidote to Jihadism and Leftism
Brod ,   USA   (09.13.10)
What Israel needs to do is to let 2 million Jews from around the world to move to Israel and live in Israel''s liberated historic homeland of Judea and Samaria and make it a booming place in the Land of Israel, and putting an end to Jihadism-Islamist-Jihadist usurpation of the Land of Israel: and the appeasement of Leftism that feeds the Jihadism of the Islamist-Jihadist world. This will also end the excuses of the AntiSemites who use demographics to feed the appetite of the forces of Jihadism.
9. #2 international law is very clear
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (09.13.10)
Jews are allowed to build in Judea and Samaria.
10. Israel clearly opposes freeze and Two State Final Solution
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.13.10)
This article is more of the usual rubbish we can expect from Barnea. This tiny land is ours and has been our for more than 3,500 years. Israel voted very clearly against anti-Jewish settlement freezes and the monstrous Two State Final Solution. That is why the two main Knesset champions of these sick policies, Labor and Meretz, were decimated in the election and face even worse results in future elections. Obama is increasingly recognized as one of the worst presidents in American history. His domestic policy is disastrous. His foreign policy is disastrous. Moreover, Obama is profoundly hostile to Israel. Israel must not listen to Obama. America appears ready to ditch Obama as soon as possible.
11. #3 Salma. It's a very easy choice.
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.13.10)
#3 Salma. You have a point here. Israel must choose between what is clearly right for Israel and what what Israel's mortal enemies want. It's a very easy choice. The answer... massive building up of our 3,500 year ancestral heartland. A million Jews in Judea and Samaria by 2015.
12. Chaim , And how about the coward Bibi?!
Salma ,   Palestine   (09.14.10)
Netanyahu and not you who must choose, you can say what you want, but does Mr. Netanyahu dare in 2010 to say the same thing?! perhaps thinking about, but he can't face the world by this bitter truth, see different matter with Prime Minister of "Israel" !
13. #2 Eyal
Bruce ,   Efrat, Israel   (09.14.10)
The only thing clear is that according to international law, Israel has every right to build on the land upon which it was established by both San Remo and the British Mandate. Nothing has transpired in the past century, least of all the Arab refusal to acknowledge Israel's right to any land, to change that.
14. Bibi should say loud and clear to the whole world why it is
Seppo ,   Finland   (09.14.10)
completely LEGAL to build houses in the Jewish homeland confirmed by the League of Nations already in 1922. Jews have been living in the WB thousands of years before Jordan army lead by UK and pals and armed by UK expelled them in 1948. IF Bibi wants to make gestures it should be two way street, also gestures from pals. So far all the talks from pal side have been: "We demand and we expect that Bibi will say YES to everything." Only in Arab countries this is called to be a negotiation. All talks with Arabs will be futile. At first they should have election to choose their leader. Now 10 factions are fighting against Abbas and he cannot do anything except collect his salary.
15. #12 Salma. Bibi may lack the courage but Israel doesn't.
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.14.10)
#12. Salma. Sadly, your are correct about Bibi. Bibi folds like a lawnchair whenever pressure is applied, as we've all seen many times. However, Bibi is not Israel. Bibi may lack the courage to claim what is rightfully ours. But Israel has the courage. Bibi will soon be gone and he will be replaced by someone with the courage to tell the world that Judea and Samaria are ours forever.
