Israel should apologize for having a stronger army? In any conflict the idea is to inflict more damage to your enemy, than your enemy can inflict upon you. Except when it comes to Israel, then the rules are changed. Israel is expected NOT to use its more powerful army, why, you ask? Because Israel's enemies want to neutralize its superior force, so they misuse the term "disproportional force", in effect criminalizing the IDF's use of their superior army. The next step will be to apply that same tactic to all the Western armed forces i.e. U.S., U.K., Canada, Germany etc., basically all the superior armed forces around the world. The terrorist can conduct low level warfare, killing small numbers, and the superior armies cannot respond, because it's not fair. Sweet deal, for the terrorists, that is!

Because newspapers, typically, use words in their proper context...although not always true. You see Doug, you have an agenda, which is to vilify Israel.
