1. Israel should immediately quit peace talks
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (09.15.10)
There is 100% justification for Israel to immediately get up and leave the peace talks. This is clear Palestinian aggression - more war crimes against Israeli civilians. Yet the most absurd and ugly truth is that if an Israeli settlement announces today that they are building a kindergarten, the Palestinians will walk out of the talks and everybody will say they are justified. Stop the stupidity! Stop Palestinian violence! Either the Palestinians want peace, or they will get war. The Palestinians keep reminding the world that their path is that of the gun, not the olive branch,
2. Iron Dome?
Joe ,   USA   (09.15.10)
I guess that Iron Dom thing isn't working out too well. Wasn't it supposed to be functional by the summer?
3. automatic sirens, emails for rockets; no automatic response
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (09.15.10)
why not have the automatic "red mail" e-mail system send the e-mail alert automatically after israel sends its own automatic "response" to rocket fire? the lag time between the incoming rocket and israel's response needs to be more, let's say, immediate.
4. ROCKETS & QASSAMS are Arabs' GOODWILL GESTURES
Shalom   (09.15.10)
in return for Israel's talk of terrorists prisoners release and continued freeze. How did Livni (believe it or not) say it? "We live in a neighborhood in which sometimes dialogue – in a situation where you have brought sanctions, and you then shift to dialogue – is liable to be interpreted as weakness," she explained.
5. In the middle east peace comes with mortars
Matityahu ,   Slovenia   (09.15.10)
6. This is one of the forms of Muslim-Arab greetings of
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (09.15.10)
the potential for peaceful coexistence between Arab and Jew, between the Muslim-Arab world and the nation-state of the Jewish people, Israel: "itbah al-jahud" (slaughter the Jews). World, including the Obama/Clinton/Mitchell trio, please open your eyes, ears, mind and heart!!!
7. Why you bother about
Al Mujahid   (09.15.10)
rockets fired from Gaza, which is controlled by Hamas? Hamas is not involved in the peace talks, isn't it?
8. # 7
Birdi ,   Israel   (09.15.10)
The peace talks are for your people, are they not ? duh !
9. # 8 Which people, Bird?
Al Mujahid   (09.15.10)
West Bank people are represented by Abbas. Who represents Gazan people?
10. #7 Al Mujahid, So you are not in, right
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (09.15.10)
Do you speak for the Gazan's? Because that's fine, if you think Abbas doesn't speak for you. Where do you think that will lead? So we are clear, are you from Gaza, and for the record, so we all know the truth. You do Not want peace with Israel, right?
11. God speaks in mysterious ways
Marcel ,   Florida   (09.15.10)
Those rockets hitting Israel from Gaza today while peace talks go on are just God's way of telling His people that the only peace on the way are pieces of shrapnel and pieces of flesh. Hamas is crying to Israel ,DEFEAT US and Israel's reply is 'We can't ! We don't have permission from our god of illusionary peace whom we religiously obey.
12. discrimination
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (09.15.10)
It is unfair that only the residents of the south are under fire. Israel should immediately transfer areas in Judea and Samaria to control of Fatah so that Raanana, Petach Tikva, Herzlia, Tel Aviv and Ben Gurion airport so all Israelis can enjoy peace.
13. #9
(09.15.10)
Abbas represents no one. Thanks to the IDF and American money, he keeps power, but he refuses to go to elections. As written in both the Fatah and Hamas charter, any agreement that Abbas will make is null and void. On top of that, today Ahmad Tibi said that any agreement with Abbas will not resolve the problem of the Arabs who currently have Israeli citizenship. The war will continue.
14. #9
Dave ,   Haifa   (09.15.10)
So what are you suggesting? Ignore all the rocket and mortar attacks, and continue on with the peace talks, and pretend like we're not being attacked?
15. UN.....we dont hear you...END
james ,   london uk   (09.15.10)
16. Deafening silence from the world
Arul   (09.15.10)
I am amazed at the complete silence from the hypocritic world leaders for all the provocations that the gazan thugs do against Israel. Where is the Ban ki Moons and other world leaders ? When Israel reacts, the whole world will react saying, it is disproportionate use of force. What a nonsense.
17. 9 - terroists represent gazans
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (09.15.10)
you know, hamas.
18. 4000 YEARS ARAB ATTACKS.NEVER WILL BE PEACE WITH ARABS
........DACON9   (09.15.10)
19. Wonder why Selma's so quiet?
R ,   Israel   (09.15.10)
20. At least we know who to blame
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (09.15.10)
Israel as usual, is staying the course, despite the repeated attempts by the Palestinians to derail the peace talks. So when we hear the continued whining about the building freeze, just put it in perspective. At the end of the day there is only one question, who is more sincere about peace? Why is the Palestinians response to any peace overtures always violence and murder of Jewish civilians? Why is the world so silent in condemning the Palestinians? As we have seen here on these talkback boards, some really don't believe that Abbas represents them. What about those who feel left out? Why don't they want peace with Israel? It's the unspeakable truth, they still have not given up the goal of destroying Israel. So it's not just Hamas, some minor splinter group, that feels this way. It is a significant portion of the Palestinian population. The sooner the world accepts that truth, the better chance of peace. Because it eliminates certain items from the Palestinian agenda. Obviously if Palestinians living in the disputed territories will not accept Israel, any "right of return" is off the table for good. Not only because the "right" doesn't exist, but anybody who has read the recommendation, read the two part clause. The people who want to return, MUST want to live in peace with their neighbors. Clearly they don't , so that ends it. But first we need the truth, which is most Palestinians do not want peace, but to destroy Israel. Then we can move on from there.
21. Rockets in southern Israel
Ezra ,   Florida   (09.15.10)
When, when in hell is Gaza going to get the title of THE LARGEST PARKING PLACE IN THE WORLD? I just hope it will WIN it BEFORE theNEGEV gets it.
22. rockets
colin   (09.15.10)
I SUPPOSE THE LEFTEST YNET WILL NOT PRINT THIS TALKBACK AGAIN. Again the cowardly groveling backstabbing minister of evictions(supposed to be defence) will do nothing. He cares about Israel in so much how much can he earn from the arabs.!!!!!! When will he be thrown out of the knesset. Has he got a extortion bone in the prime minister?? It sure seems that Bibi is afraid of this yellow streeked bastard.
23. Rockets
Juan ,   Spain   (09.15.10)
Hamas are not at the peace talks. There will be no agreement to include Hamas. Hamas and Fatah hate each other, almost as much as they hate the state of Israel. If there is a peace agreement it will only cost Israel, it wont cost the arabs a penny. Strike back IDF and defend your country. Regardless of the (false) peace talks.
24. Rockets
Shmuel   (09.15.10)
You can have peace talks and the IDF doing there job. So let them do there job!
25. peace
Tamar ,   Israel   (09.15.10)
There will never be a peace with them! When we will al understand that? They are just not interested. And if the war will start right now....guess...how is going to be blamed for that?Of course Israel. They start all the trouble and we are always paying the price...
26. The Solution is to Stop all talks and > > >
AlbertoGA ,   St. George, USA   (09.15.10)
To prepare for the liberation of Gaza. No more nonsense the territories must return to Israel. Move all the Terrorists to Egypt. Point final .
27. To #21, Ezra
M. Hartley ,   Atlanta, US   (09.15.10)
I'm with you on the parking lot. Israel could do the decent thing, drop leaflets telling the civilians to leave for wherever and then just level the place once and for all. And if the West Bankers have a lick of sense, at all, maybe peace with Israel wil sound like a pretty good idea.
28. would any other normal country tolerate this?
chaim schonbrun ,   brooklyn ny   (09.15.10)
this proves once again, leftis'm is a severe mental disease and is suicidal. this disease must be cut out and eradicated like a cancer that it is. Imagine if mexico would be launching thousands of missles into california and texas, would there still be a mexico?Israel being led by criminaly insane self hating leftist jews,is the only country in the world that will not defend its citizens
29. IDF's (Bibi's) timid ,tardy reactions
RayS ,   USA   (09.15.10)
The weak reactions to strikes on Ashkelon and Ashdod encourage terrorism. Can't for once ,just once, have Israel react with worth while effect such as total close down of traffic, fuel, energy, and communications in Gaza? Can't Bibi make believe Israel is a real country? Make believe he is a real PM?
30. I wonder.......
Ram ,   London   (09.15.10)
...whish is more achievale A or B? A.To wean a leopard off meat? B. To wean a "Palestinian" off the drive to kill Jews. Help?
