I'm surprised Princes Road Synagogue in Liverpool didn't get a mention here. As it's my shul I realise I'm biased towards it but as a magnificent shul with a rich choral tradition I'm still surprised it didn't get a mention.

Ewww... your prejudice towards modern diaspora Jews and your lack of understanding of history is simply breathtaking....When these synagogues were built hundreds of years ago in Europe that was the tradtion and they had the volume of numbers. Your Israel as you now know it wasn't in existence. There was no homeland for people to go to back then. So they made their life as rich as possible. Israel was a desert with no opportunity to return. To hear you belittle the diaspora Jews of several hundred years ago is truly disgusting and an insult to the dead. I am not Jewish. Yet I seem to have more understanding and care/feelings for the Jews of Europe in centuries past than you.

36. Wrong name of Berlin Synagogue
Isak ,   Berlin, Germany   (09.12.13)
The Synagogue described as the "Great Synagogue in Berlin" is in fact called the the Joachimstaler Strasse Synagogue. No synagogue in Berlin is called the "Great Synagogue". And the Joachimstaler Strasse Synagogue is not even the largest synagogue in Berlin.
