2. Phosphorus rockets
graczek ,   Maryland, USA   (09.16.10)
Well, well, the Resistance is using the phosphorus you dropped on them back during the 2009 aggression. How do you Zionists like the chickens coming home to roost? Turns about fair play, right?
3. Kids are Kids, Even in Gaza
Mark of Lewiston ,   Lewiston USA   (09.17.10)
So many in Israel were perfectly fine with the WP landing on and around kids in Gaza during Cast Lead. And despite protestations to the contrary, Israeli WP was not just used in uninhabited areas. It was used against civilian population concentrations. All the defenses were what Hamas would use today. For the record, Israeli use of WP was unacceptable. Hamas use of WP is unacceptable. USE by both Israel and Hamas should be condemned.
4. In Kind Treatment
The Persian Prophet ,   Iran   (09.17.10)
It is with great sadness that I write this. Did you think that you are the only who can possess and use the nastiest means of destruction and death. YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW". Sad but true. Wake up, the day will come that they will possess A-bomb. Will you ever wake up. You will not permitted, under any cicumstances, at any cost to rule and dominate Middle East. That is dream that belongs to Europe, not the ME. And Europe is gradually becoming the Union of Banana Republics. Look at Sarkozy deporting Roma. Disgraceful.
5. "Anti-Peace" an excuse. It was simply intended to kill Jews

6. Comparison is not reason
Sceptique ,   France   (09.17.10)
How can Hamas claim the same reasons as Israel for the use of WP? Did Hamas troops need a smoke screen to protect them from Israeli terrorists? Did they warn the populations that they were about to attack in the area by dropping leaflets and calling them at home, giving them some time to evacuate the area? So please, keep your abusive comparisons for you and try to get some information before you write. No Army in the history of warfare, ever did what Tsahal did to protect civilian lives. To no avail, as far as the pseudo-humanitarians are concerned.
7. 5 Zvi - Israeli Misslies & Bombs Don't kill Civilians?
Mark of Lewiston ,   Lewiston USA   (09.17.10)
Not every time is an accident. Even your pilots like Dan Halutz admit what they have done and how indifferent to civilian deaths they truly are.
8. #2 It boggles my mind...
Dan the Jafa ,   Auckland, Aotearoa   (09.17.10)
...that a person can learn to type without learning to read first. Israeli munitions used in anti-terrorist operation in 2009 were filled with cotton mixed with minute traces of phosphorus. This mixture produces large volumes of smoke when ignited. I understand that you condemn their use because they protect Jewish soldiers from sniper attacks, and it may come as a shock to you, but those smoke screen munitions are actually entirely legal. The missiles launched by Gazan terrorists, on the other hand were filled with pure white phosphorus in quantities far exceeding those one can extract from smoke charges and they were fired towards civilian areas. Indiscriminate bombardment of civilians with illegal weapons of mass destruction constitutes a war crime, but since weapons were fired at Jews, you rejoice. You are a bigot and a hypocrite, sir. Just out of curiosity, did you know that hypocrisy is a mortal sin?
9. #3 - if so, why did UN and ICRC rule in favor of Israel?
William ,   Israel   (09.17.10)
Both deemed Israel's use of WP as per the Intl Law. Since these shells used by IDF explode high in the sky, its hard to equate these with RPGs that are meant to explode on the ground, in crowds of people. If you don't like the law that rules the use of WP, then go complain to the UN to change it, but don't attack someone that followed the law (Israel) - that's just childish and discriminatory.
10. #4 - Past Persian prophets were much smarter
William ,   Israel   (09.17.10)
Since the invasion of Arabs and Islam into Persia, the collective intelligence there has declined rapidly. "you reap what you sow" - a fitting statement from the Arab nations who have caused death, destruction, and mayhem on millions of people and many lands, for over 1400 years. It's only fitting that your influence be sapped, your oil wealth dwindle, and your nation become a pariah under sanctions. Your own Koran predicts and supports the return of Jews to their land given by G-d, yet you choose to ignore what most claim is the absolute word of Allah through Muhammed via Gabriel. Israel truly does not wish to dominate the Middle East or else our flag would already be over Baghdad. We wish only to live in our own land, peacefully, and with self-determination as enshrined in human rights law. Now Iran...they wish to dominate the region, and the Sunni nations know it.
11. #7 - present the proof or quote
William ,   Israel   (09.17.10)
Never has Dan Halutz said such a thing which leads me to believe you're lifting words out of context and adding your own spice. However, per Intl Law, Israel has legal right to target high profile targets and terrorists even if they embed themselves in a civilian crowd, with civilians knowingly hiding him or allowing their freedom to operate. Again, if you're unhappy that Geneva Convention laws benefit Israel, go demand to change them. It's not like your heroes the war criminals would be affected by it anyway.
12. Second Try - William
Mark of Lewiston ,   Lewiston USA   (09.17.10)
On dropping of a one ton bomb on a bunch of people in Gaza: "No. That is not a legitimate question and it is not asked. But if you nevertheless want to know what I feel when I release a bomb, I will tell you: I feel a light bump to the plane as a result of the bomb's release. A second later it's gone, and that's all. That is what I feel." "When asked whether the operation is morally wrong because of the toll on some civilians, Halutz answered that the planning included moral consideration and that a mistake or an accident does not make it such." Or would you like to talk about Capt. R?
13. no double standards pls.
mario ,   eu   (09.20.10)
If Israel was wrong in using WP, then Hamas is wrong in using WP.
