Israel put the freeze into effect 10 months ago - the Palestinians refused to negotiate. Now that the Americans twisted their arms to get them to the table, they're looking for an excuse to weasel out. Well, everybody likes "proportional response", right? It's what the NGOs and EU and critics everywhere keep saying. So: proportional response means that Israel can leave the peacetalks because the Palestinians are refusing to obey international law and have launched multiple terrorist attacks (that have left 4 civilians dead). Israel is justified to walk out of the peacetalks and it is 100% the fault of the Palestinians. Or, our response to Palestinian bullets and anti-personnel rockets and mortars is to build a few buildings. That seems pretty fair... in fact it's more unfair to Israel than to the Pals. Unless, of course, the Pals want to declare that they are freezing all violence against Israeli civilians.

Lieberman is the only MK who speaks the truth and he does not cower before the Americans like Bib Nothingyahu. We hope one day Lieberman will be PM. The irrelevant one is the one who calls himself The Last Zionist.

A year ago I would have agreed with you. Now I think what Liberman said is 100% right and he tells it like it is. Concessions must come from both sides. Israel is always making concessions. What have we gotten for that? Just more terror.

If Lieberman is opposed to extending a freeze then he and his party will vote against the proposal when it comes to the cabinet and the measure will not pass. That sounds fairly relevant by any rational measure.

The PA have little left to give except final resolution issues. Settler want peace and to keep the land, with Palestinians push back to A areas and Gaza or even better Jordan. Good posting Brian ,just one criticism, the freezing of all violence against Israeli civilians by Palestine etc.This is anathema to Islamofascists like Hamas or Hezbollah who can only operate through violence and murdering innocent Israelis as taking on the IDF will only show the sheer ineptitude and cowardice of the so called Muslim warrior ,as Hamas proved during operation cast lead or the daily suicide bombings and internecine violence of Sunni vs Shia all over the Arab/Muslim world ,no more violence ,no need for Hamas or Hezbollah ,simple logic .
