Peres along with our all knowing defense minister are two of the biggest liabilities to Israeli security and they both believe the country is their private property for them to unilaterally decide the future of. Nobody elected Peres he was appointed by the majority of 120 individuals who were not directly elected but he thinks because he has a Nobel Prize and the west loves him then he can do what the hell he likes when it comes to deciding Israels future. Barak another unelected washout appointed defense minister who has unofficially made himself finance minister, foreign minister, education minister and prime minister and takes it upon himself to decide what Israel is willing to give away. Before Camp David Jerusalem was a red line even Peres was afraid to cross. Barak went along and without consulting the Knesset, the cabinet or even the advisors he brought along with him he took it upon himself to go and offer Arafat Jerusalem. After that the Jerusalem genie was out the bottle and now saying we won't divide the city is no longer an option and Barak is dirctly responsible. All Barak or Pers need to do is endorse the right of return and the US will start demanding it from Israel. They are liabilities and the closest Israel has to its own dictaitors and the sooner Peres goes to join Rabin & Arafat and Barak gets out of politics the safer Israel will be.

6. Peres and his dreams
Brod ,   USA   (09.20.10)
Peres should keep out of making statements like this. He is not part of the government. He is just a ceremonial leader. Is he trying to play PM and Foreign Minister at the same time? It is time Israel's government appoint a new President who is younger and keeps to his ceremonial functions rather than playing government. The fact is the enemy of the Free World is Islamist-Jihadism.
7. Lebanese President leaving...funny he was 9000 km away
Anonymous ,   TX, USA   (09.21.10)
Lebanese President Michel Sleiman was seen leaving....you should do a fact check before publishing such nonsense...President Sleiman was still in Beirut Lebanon, 9000 km away. You know when one detail of an article is inaccurate, that reflects badly on the whole article.
8. peres should have been institutionized
jason white ,   afula,israel   (09.21.10)
long ago. he has the blood of hundreds of Jews on his hands from oslo. No one elected him, except a majority of the knesset. They themselves probably thought that we would see the last of peres and his politics. Unfortunately we suffer from this fool and from ehud barak along with zippy the pinhead from kadima. Israel is cursed with stupid politicians and ones that refuse to defend us.
9. Return the GOLAN OR STFU
John ,   Irving New York   (09.21.10)
And for the rest of the people in here that complain about peace, you need to STFU as well
