Why the big fascination with being recognized as a "Jewish" State? This is a political card that would allow Israel to continue to treat non-Jews as second class citizens. Just like many people in USA you do not understand that "Jewish" is not only religion, but also a nationality. I've been persecuted in Soviet Union as a Jew, though I was not religious. They (in USSR, and now in Russia) have a line in internal Passport - 'Nationality". In my passport it said - 'Jew'. And that is the understanding in most of the world.
